Sunrise should be live into Queensland permanently during daylight saving. Its good to see Shawn White reporting on location. Ive been watching Sunrise for many years and i don’t recall the last time he reported on scene. He did an excellent job definitely a talent they should be using more instead of presenting scammy consumer reports

Sorry that is a stupid thing to say. It doesn’t take much effort. It’s purely lazyness on Seven’s part that a news program is not live. They can use a filler program to fill in the extra hour its not hard but the attitude of “Queensland shouldn’t have daylight saving” to not broadcast a news program live is just stupid and lazy.
The problem going live for most of the year, outside of major breaking news, is that you’re starting premium content at 4am. Nobody is watching at 4am. Also it means your big interviews in the 7am half hour are at 6am, your 8am ‘lighter’ hour is at 7am. Assuming you start the morning show live also - you’re getting infomercials from 8am.
For the average day that just doesn’t make sense. I don’t think that’s laziness - it’s just logical.
Keep your live news inserts, go live for major breaking news. But otherwise the hour delay is fine.

It’s a news program it should be live. That is also a poor excuse. 4:30am is not that early.
Moving on i would have thought Nat would have spent more time in Queensland.
Again, on the average day, much of the program is not needed to be viewed live. Particularly if it means you’re in Queensland and getting, for example, an interview with Dancing with the Stars talent in the 7am hour.

Most people still work somewhere around the 9 to 5 day. Who is up at 4.30am to watch television? When Sunrise ends at 8am, are people in Queensland going to be happy to have The Morning Show fluff until 9am?

Your comment suggested that Queensland should change and have daylight saving just to suit TV station’s schedules. That s a stupid thing to say and approach to take and i don’t apologise for pointing this out. If i have said something stupid you also have the opportunity to point that out to me.
I think what was being inferred is that Qld should have daylight savings… not to suit tv stations schedules. Just for the benefit of the state.
When the birds start stirring on 4am and it’s bright daylight shortly after in summer, you wonder why they continue to resist it.

Sunrise branded coverage finished at 10 AM. TMS took over except in Queensland where Seven News is now rolling coverage again.

You make a good point - the sun rises in Queensland incredibly early during the height of summer so there might actually be an audience coming in around 4.30am/5am in QLD. Perhaps the news inserts will suffice, but who knows.
