Not much new being reported. Same shots in the same positions. 9 seem to be doing a better job at the moment with some reporters out on location and a cross to the GC mayor.
9 staying on air waiting for the press conference. 7 have gone to the Morning Show.
Edit: 7 quickly changed to the Premiers press conference. Silly move, should’ve stayed with WS or crossed straight to Sharyn. Some (like me) will have changed channels looking for the press conference.

Paul Burt was obviously receiving a lot viewer criticism this morning:
“Why are we out on the Brisbane river [amongst the floating debris]? So we are can bring you these pictures.”
“Now I’ve put my life jacket on because it’s very important… When I’m off air I go straight and put it on… actually I had it on the whole time under this raincoat.” I doubt it.

Can anyone remember when Kochie was last out on location to anchor emergency rolling coverage? Seems like it’s always Nat going out, not that there’s a problem with that as she always does a great job.

Monique could still cover the rest of the news as well as host. Hopefully they’ll have Sam Mac up in Qld. I imagine Bianca Stone will be on location as well as Paul Burt. Tony Auden will no doubt be utilised from the Brisbane studio.

Maybe they will extend until 10.00 AEDT then shorten TMS. Qld could have a special morning news bulletin at 11.00 local time once the national bulletin ends.
Whoever is on news can fill that position if absolutely required.

No I don’t. But I don’t understand your point and want you to elaborate. I was saying that the Rick and Sue anniversary had national interest (outside of Perth) because it was just a fun and quirky story. Just like interviewing an everyday married couple celebrating their golden anniversary. I supported that interview airing. Plugging Sally Pearson’s appointment on a small market 7 News bulletin served very little relevance to the Sunrise audience.
It’s harder to replace him.

The flooding is so widespread. Because it’s not just a river rising but the rain that persisted for days, so many areas unaffected in previous floods have been hit as well.
Some shots of areas to the north of the city would be good too if possible. It’s not just the CBD, Logan, GC and Ipswich affected around SEQ.
