Most of Sevens local news operations around the country would be wound back this week. Most resources would be allocated to Sunrise and the 6pm News. Makes sense as the Cricket helps fill the gap during the holiday period.

His cringeworthy apology got an airing on Big Fat Quiz of the Year here on Boxing Day. Was even worse than I remember and got the ribbing it deserved.
An observation only fit for Media Spy 
The very last segment of Sunrise closes out the show with no watermark. Then The Morning Show starts live with its watermark on the left plus its own version of the Seven w/m on the right.
This morning however, with a pre-recorded TMS, the last segment of Sunrise had a w/m and TMS has the standard w/m. There must be an issue with loading the w/m template for TMS live that stops the Sunrise watermark being shown in the last segment.

Recorded TMS plays out with their standard playout system vs. live from the Martin Place control room. So its understandable why the w/m would be the default.
When its a live TMS they likely have the GFX on a different package and thus are unable to load in sunrise graphics.

I know there are many capable people within 7 already on the payroll - but Natarsha Belling has been such a great addition to the show this week and it would be great for her to cover Eddys maternity leave when it starts in a month or so.

Natarsha would be a great fill-in for Eddy, and that way too no one else within the network would have to move their job around for six months or so.
But she might want to continue with that podcast stuff she does with Steve Price in the mornings though, we’ll just have to wait and see.

I’d assume the podcast was just something she took out of desperation after being let get from 10, a role on 7 would be much more appealing.

I’d go even further and say that Tarsh is way better than Eddy in terms of news reading. Wouldn’t mind if she joined the team permanently and Eddy move back to entertainment though I don’t think Eddy would be happy about that.

She’ll get better at newsreading over time. I think it’s important they continue to give Eddy as much exposure to the audience as possible given she’d be high up the list on being Nat’s successor. She’s done a great job hosting this week.
