They don’t float my boat either, but breakfast news shows the world over now routinely featured cluttered screens with bright colours and big writing. So, maybe Sunrise was a little ahead of its time?

The thing that sticks out about their graphics is that horrific Ubuntu font in royal blue. It’s absolutely disgusting and ruined what was a somewhat decent package.

I really do not think it will make a big difference to viewers or ratings. It would likely make a difference to the succession planning though as Seven would not want to be replacing both main presenters in a short period of time.

It looks alright in the On-Air Presentation for SBS’ main channel IMO.
Sunrise’s use of it isn’t great though!
I caught a bit of Weekend Today yesterday and immediately thought of how bad Sunrise’s graphics are compared to the updated Today graphics. Really stands out.

They don’t need to spend much to just tidy up the current graphics. For starters they can get rid of the multiple appearances of the sunrise logo.
It’s a watermark in the main strap. It appears next to the location. It appears in the Live bug. One is enough.
Maybe Brooke during her time at Triple J, should have spent time listening to music lyrics and filtering those songs out in case they “offend” “hate” or “sexualise genders”
Or maybe you could realise and acknowledge the entrenched attitudes and cultures that often don’t allow people like her to speak up against the system.
And also realise that this is the Sunrise thread, and if you want to keep having a go at Brooke, do it in the appropriate thread.

Well, how ridiculous. They still need to maintain ratings and revenue. That line up is terrible. And we all know what drastic line up changes do to ratings.
Is it that drastic though? All those presenters are extremely familiar with viewers and it’s not like Today who just dumped their entire line-up in early 2019. I also don’t think losing Sam will lead them to lose right away (Kochie will be a different story though).
Their new roster is extremely inconsistent and really messy. I don’t think it’s logical at all personally. That’s my opinion only.

I don’t get all the inconsistent comments. Nat presents Mondays and Fridays, sounds consistent to me.
Nat and Kochie Monday, Kochie and Sam Tuesday-Thursday and Sam and Nat on Friday.
Seems really messy to me but happy to be proven wrong. As long as they don’t make a big fuss about it then viewers might not care.
Roster aside, I actually like Nat hosting so technically I am happy to see her host more.
