The Project had a laugh at James Tobin on Sunrise forgetting social distancing rules during a weather cross. They showed a segment before the weather map then one after
I understand that they need to set an example and follow guidelines because the threat of corona virus is still somewhat out there. But is it really necessary for social distancing on set of the presenters now?
Itâs just getting quite disjointed and ruining the whole feel of the show. IMO itâs served its purposes, time to go back everyone at the desk.
Yes and I clearly mentioned that above, the only ones that appear to be doing it still is Sunrise and TMS, everyone else seems to be getting closer and closer⌠Plus I donât think anyone would really care if they arenât social distancing on set anyway unless you want to be complete pedantic.
The networks need to take all reasonable steps to protect their workforce from being exposed to COVID-19. Providing a studio set-up where the talent can be 1.5 metres apart seems quite reasonable. Anything less than this would open the employer up to being prosecuted by the relevant state authorities especially if someone was found to have contracted the infection through exposure in the workplace. It just seems like common sense to maintain social distancing and minimise studio guests and audiences.
Plus they could always go for someone more likeable on their current team who has great chemistry with Natalie Barr. Matt Doran is good but would be better on news.
