Sunrise (2015-Sept 2020)

Did you not read the bit saying I thought it would return to normal with eddy back :face_with_monocle:

Yes, I did read that.

But was there any reference to Monday?

The Project had a laugh at James Tobin on Sunrise forgetting social distancing rules during a weather cross. They showed a segment before the weather map then one after

There is in this thread… I didn’t feel it was necessary to repeat what had already been said.

Obviously you did.

Monday and Tuesday:Eddy is back and reading the news and entertainment.

Eddy crossing to Nelson for Showbiz now, like Fifi Box and Nuala Hafner used to do:

I understand that they need to set an example and follow guidelines because the threat of corona virus is still somewhat out there. But is it really necessary for social distancing on set of the presenters now?

It’s just getting quite disjointed and ruining the whole feel of the show. IMO it’s served its purposes, time to go back everyone at the desk.

They still need to set an example, especially when the Federal Government is still saying that we must social distance.

Yes and I clearly mentioned that above, the only ones that appear to be doing it still is Sunrise and TMS, everyone else seems to be getting closer and closer… Plus I don’t think anyone would really care if they aren’t social distancing on set anyway unless you want to be complete pedantic.

Studio 10 is still doing it. 2 People at desk, 2 on couch.

Plus on The Project and HYBPA? it is also really obvious.

I think it’s time to bring them back to normal. Restrictions are easing and presenters spend hours each day together regardless.

The networks need to take all reasonable steps to protect their workforce from being exposed to COVID-19. Providing a studio set-up where the talent can be 1.5 metres apart seems quite reasonable. Anything less than this would open the employer up to being prosecuted by the relevant state authorities especially if someone was found to have contracted the infection through exposure in the workplace. It just seems like common sense to maintain social distancing and minimise studio guests and audiences.

That was 20 years ago.

Plus they could always go for someone more likeable on their current team who has great chemistry with Natalie Barr. Matt Doran is good but would be better on news.

I bet they’re only 1.5m apart ON camera lol

James Tobin is presenting weather this morning (2/6/2020). Sam Mac is off sick.

“When you host breakfast TV it’s important the team gets on well given the early starts… But spending time together in the Big Brother house? I don’t know about that. It’s certainly going to be interesting to say the least!”

How will they do the show?

Will it be just an OB with gimmicky skits in-between stories?
