I think it needs a visual refresh. Boland never let it all get stale and was always innovating which is how they kept the energy going so long.

this is an awful idea.
The Latest is a late night news strand of 7 News. Spreading its reach into Sunrise would only serve to dilute the 7 News branding for no reason. Not to mention that the reason The Latest is called The Latest is the double meaning of the latest news, as well as the latest/late bulletin of the night.

Have to agree…you cant have 3 brands in the morning.
There was a time they labelled the news updates inside Sunrise as 7 News, but I think viewers found it confusing. Now that only happens with later updates in The Morning Show and during The Daily Edition.
Don’t forget, The Latest is already extended into the Facebook Watch bulletin. Thats enough.

Have to say Today’s coverage is far superior,
Sunrise too concerned about the Cash Cow and airing interviews about Frozen 2.
Understand there is probably sponsorship commitments for these, however it’s another case where they are putting $$ before what matters IMO

1 hour delay this morning?
Sunrise has been 1-hour delayed everyday of their bushfire coverage since Saturday, including today. Channel 9 has been the same. Tomorrow is forecasted to be the worser day for QLD, so hopefully, at least, it will be live then.
