On a low rating Sunday, with just two programs over the 500k mark Nine had an easy 9-point win with ABC third.

The top result for Nine’s tennis coverage was the second night session that averaged 452,000 with the first session slightly less on 477,000. Both sessions featured in all key demo top 5 rankings. By comparison, the first Sunday of competition in 2022 that featured Ash Barty drew the first +1 million audience of that tournament for Nine.

Earlier, Seven News was down 100k week-on-week with Nine’s bulletin more competitive winning in Sydney and Melbourne. The BBL coverage also took a hit, down 80k from the previous week. Since the start of the Australian Open, the BBL ratings have significantly fallen and failed to top 300k on any night. 7Bravo posted its highest share so far.

ABC’s share was down 4 from last week as Vera, the top entertainment show of the night, dropped 130k to average 374,000. That was enough for sixth place, however, while another repeat, Joanna Lumley’s Unseen Adventures did well to get 336,000.

Meanwhile, 10 was down 0.5 though The Bachelor audience was unaffected for its second Sunday episode of the season while ranking in the top five of the younger demos. The Project and News also made the top 20.

SBS’s top show was news in 28th place.

At breakfast Today posted its highest audience of the year - higher than all but one of the weekday show’s ratings as well. It was still 40k behind Sunrise by 40k ahead of News Breakfast.

It’s rare to see Seven News Perth failing to reach six figures. Last night however it was due to the BBL clash involving the local team Perth Scorchers. The BBL even managed to beat the tennis in the city.

Another terrible result for Ten, languising well behind in 4th spot.

More bad news for The Bachelors with The Daily Mail claiming the winners have been leaked. The show will finish this Wednesday.

Also interesting that the 6.30 Project is well below 150,000 people. Anyone know what the actuall figure was?

Like clockwork.

Dont shoot the messenger.

If Ten dont get their act together this year, it could be all red rover. Read what it being said.

If you have a look at the article posted in the Paramount ANZ thread, you’ll see it’s not all doom and gloom. Turns out MediaSpy users like you are not able to single handedly decide the fate of a network and how it’s doing!

Well if you can put a positive spin on the figures for the 6.30 Project from last night, then I’m all ears

Nine won Sydney by 15, Melbourne by 21 and Brisbane by 6. Seven won Adelaide by 4 and Perth by 12.

Nine easily won all key demos - 25-54 by 16 points and 16-39 by 20. Second-placed Seven was 4 points ahead of third-placed 10.

7Bravo is doing well for a brand new multichannel, up to 1.4%

It’s no different from every other year. You haven’t discovered something new. Get over it.

Seems that their Sunday night movie is working for them.

Imgaine if Ten were an AFL team and they were paying millions of dollars to their star players but they kept coming last. They then say to all their supporters. “Look, it happens every year. Get over it” lol.

13% share is not even close to acceptable and I will continue to call it out

To whom is it not acceptable? You? I am sure Paramount are always looking at ways to grow their audience. Your continual harping about 10 ratings is becoming very boring. I don’t understand why more people are not calling you out on it. I got blasted (rightly) for continual harping about Nine Talk radio stations and have now desisted. :slightly_smiling_face:

Whatever your beef with 10 is, just build a bridge!

As I’ve said before, if Ten lift their game (which I hope they do), then I will be the first to congratulate them.

But I do understand why other people are blasting you for criticising Nine Radio and I would too because they are number one

Any early indications where the audience may have come from?

Didn’t criticise them (Nine) for being Number 1. Just their content.

IMO, 10 is the station that tries new concepts etc. The “rusted on” viewers of 7 and 9 are a problem though. I don’t rate channels 7 and 9 news (and don’t understand why so many watch every night) but I don’t harp on about it every day.

What did the afternoon BBL match do for 7? Fox got 147k but the 7’s coverage didn’t make the top 20

would need to see 25-54 ratings for project V 9 news V 7 news

would also need to see ad revenue booked for the 30 mins

would also need to see programming costs for producing 1 national studio based show V 5 local editions of a newscast

could be possible that 10 is more profitable at sundays 630- (in the 30 minutes to 7 pm at least)
