That’s network executives for you though, otherwise it would require an admission from them that the final iteration of the programme was quite possibly a failure due to the changes they underwent in the final years.
Is it normal practice though to name all previous producers when a show ends? The screenshot from the tweet only mentions current hosts too, not past hosts.
Yes but Rob was the co-creator and longest serving EP I believe, the show wouldn’t have been what it was in the early years without him.
Beverley also far too petty to acknowledge his contribution to the early success of the show.
God, that opening minute of the first episode couldn’t be duller - looks more like an ABC current affairs show than a mid-morning commercial show. Think it soon loosened up though.
Whether the two iterations of the show should be considered the same show is questionable - arguably it’s two shows with the same name.
The former EP and 10 didn’t part on amicable terms, and it’s not appropriate to drudge up past dramas, especially when there were legal ramifications afterwards. I wouldn’t classify it as petty.
The show wasn’t just successful at any one time because of 1 person, and it’s a shame that it became synonymous with those dramas, so much so that people still drudge them up in tweets now.
Very aware of this, as we all likely are.
No drama needed, an acknowledgment of his contribution to the show would’ve been nice.
That’s fine, but I did and stand by it. If you had more insight and knowledge into the working of management at the network, you may understand.
The show wouldn’t have been what it was without Rob’s vision and commitment over many years, the only reason it swayed was because of poor decision by management. Simple
If you’re referring to Kevin’s tweet about Rob, then it’s entirely appropriate and a valid & resonable point.
You insulted Beverley McGarvey by calling her ‘petty’ for not mentioning Rob McKnight. Yet, I don’t think it’s appropriate to talk about him when the show has finished 5 years or so after he left on bad terms - regardless of your opinion on Rob’s contribution, it’s not petty when legalities are an issue.
Ha. Ok, cool.
I’m confident she’s been called worse and I’m sure she’ll be okay. It’s likely she won’t ever see this also? But okay.
The legalities were that they tried to get out of paying him what he was owed, not that he was fired - so totally reasonable. The network bought that one on themselves there.
Still petty IMO. Also happy to move on from this as it’s clearly we have differing opinions.
Check out the exciting line up from 1 January in the 10am - 12pm time slot
What a “riveting” line up.
So next Sunday’s Highlights/Summer show will be the last show ever. On NYE. End the year on a high

It’s just a graphic on the screen
I assume they’ll replay the closing goodbye on the last episode?
Well there you go!
I know no one is watching, but was it a bit odd to do the big finale and then have a summer series?
Hans was the last performer on this (short-lived) Summer Series, singing “I Will Survive”.
Spoiler alert. The show does not survive.
The show then went to Barry du Bois and Angela Bishop, who said “and with that, have a good day” (or to that effect). Lacklustre of an ending. Although they did a proper ending last week for the live show.
Studio 10 2013 - 2023. Goodbye. This forum will miss this show.
