Couldn’t agree with you more! I can’t even understand people sitting down to watch 7 and 9 at 6pm. I’m even more baffled by how news rates with the 16-39 age group daily. Was not an ardent Studio 10 viewer but would like 10 to come up with something to fill the void, not just news.
Agree. The only news I watch is ABC 7pm or flick over to 24. I’ve just found just way too much sensationalist bullshit in the 6pm bulletins, and Breakfast TV also.
That should have happened yesterday before being made public.
It shows that axing this show wasn’t really a network cost cutting measure (as we have seen in the past). They literally think they can get a higher audience by not airing Studio 10.
10 can air more cooking shows in the 10am slots, like Farm to Fork, Everyday Gourmet, The Cooks Pantry etc. They’re pretty much paid advertising from all the sponsorships throughout the show.
As for the actual inshow infomercials? Probably just air them during adbreaks, i guess.
Dont forget that 10 will need to find content for Saturdays and Sundays too, as the highlights show will disappear too. But weekends are easier to fill, as the weekend schedule is full of lifestyle shows (fishing, travel, camping, cooking shows etc).
In the interim they could screen CBS This Morning (Friday and Saturday) editions from 6;30am Sunday just push the infotainment shows back an hour. The various religious programs could be aired prior to that
I read that, they got rid of him because he didn’t agree with the changes they wanted.
Joel left as opposed to being in a lesser role.
Honestly, I sometimes think executives (not just Media ones either), don’t get it - if you think TV show wise - they tried a 2 host format on midday show before its final axing from Nines schedule, multiple host changes on Wheel of Fortune on Seven (Al Beit it lasted longer than the Nine example), shows don’t mess with the show.
I think Sarah Harris going to The Project was a sign it was almost time up for Studio 10
