The SMH and Yumi Stynes have different opinions over whether Kennerley was cleared by ACMA.
So Yumi is saying that the ACMA cleared the segment as adhering to broadcast standards, not Kerri-Anne personally?
Here is the ruling.
The ACMA received two complaints alleging that a statement within the program provoked or perpetuated serious contempt or severe ridicule against Indigenous Australians.
The ACMA considers that the emphatic and sweeping suggestion by Ms Kennerley of endemic sexual abuse in Indigenous communities could be capable of provoking strong negative feelings in a reasonable personā¦
Broadcasting views that may be offensive or controversial does not , in and of itself, constitute a breach of the relevant Code provisions .
The ACMA notes the following moderating elements of the program:segment included material which offered counterpoints to Ms Kennerleyās views and thereby contextualised them as only one of a number of views on the issueā¦
Kerry Anneās views certainly were not racist but misguided would be the correct word.

Studio 10 has been cleared by the media watchdog over a heated debate between Kerri-Anne Kennerley and Yumi Stynes in Januaryā¦
The segment would probably have been more problematic had Yumi Stynes not challenged KAKās viewpoint.
By contrast a now-infamous Sunrise debateā¦, which offered no alternative viewpoints, was found to have breached the Code of Practice.

I decided to tune into Studio 10 this morning and I found the show so much more calm and watchable without Kerri-Anne on the panel.

I like the diversity of views that KAK brings, even if I donāt agree with them all the time. She just needs to find a gentle way to go about sharing them - essentially working with the panel and not against it.

Yes theres always going to be a different view point and thats what the show needs. Otherwise it would be boring panel show. I may not agree with what she has to say but people can have a debate about different viewpoints. I appreciate that.
