Studio 10 (2015-2020)

Watching those clips back, it’s amazing to think that was really not that long ago. The set is a lot more refined now in its current configuration … the supers are much better and it’s absolutely evident more than ever that Rob made the right choice with putting Sarah in the drivers chair.

[/quote] I agree. But in saying that, the two former sets and the old graphics package were still really good. Whilst it was great to have Tarsh back last week, long term, the show just isn’t the same without Sarah, and in fact the regular panel.

And all ideas I really liked. But it shows that Rob is not afraid of evolving the show when it is required.

Jess started her weekly segment this morning ‘What in the Cute’.She joked with Jono she had been waiting 3 years for her own segment.

Studio 10 Celebrating 60 years of TV Next week. The panel said they are doing a bumper edition, running until 12pm. What day is this @blackbox?

EDIT: Also don’t know when it started but there’s now an opener at 9.50 with a highlight from “Earlier on Studio 10”. Looks good!

Next Friday is the 60th anniversary.

Re the “earlier on Studio 10…”, we started them yesterday and will do them sporadically. It’s compiled in such a way that we can do it through the control room on a very tight turn-around (basically we roll three clips… the intro, the grab and then the outro)

Strange how in the past the networks made these huge specials for 30, 40, 50 years but now they can’t be bothered.

Sounds like it should be a fun look down memory lane.

Fingers crossed the team have renovated the set (similar to the 1977 episode perhaps?) and got some special graphics ready so that the “channel-surfers” realise it is a special episode.

It can easily get lost if casual viewers only tune in for a quick glance.

Looks like it will be a gold colour scheme tomorrow

Would love to see today’s show as a primetime special for tonight after The Living Room, or tomorrow night before the Rugby edited down to a 2 hour special without the infomercials and some of the studio pieces.

IMO it would have to do better than HYPBA repeats + whatever is after that, would be different to what the other networks are offering by way of 60th anniversary specials and expose the show to a new audience who wouldn’t be home during the day to watch today.

You wouldn’t have to watch it.

I think given the demographic that might be interested in watching a show about 60 years of TV, they may not be that savvy at online catch ups etc. and that a prime time re-run could be a good idea.
