Jess returns tomorrow @Travis will be happy!
Yay!
The only downside of watching on TEN HD is being able to see in great detail how worn a lot of the set pieces are due to the multi-purpose nature of the studio space.
On the flipside, it’s still a great show and still seems to be finding a larger audience which is good to see.
Wonder what they’ll have planned for their 3rd year on air come Nov 4th…
EDIT: New show sponsor is Travel Agency, italktravel.
Tarsh in for Sarah this morning and Chika filling in for Denise.
Sarah was away sick today so it was a delight to watch Tarsh back on the show again. Denise worked Monday-Wednesday lta is away this week. Kerry Chikarovski was back on the show today l think it’s been a while since her last appearance?.
EDIT-Tarsh and Kerry both back for Friday’s show along with my favorite panellist Carlotta.
Ita Buttrose reveals the audition process for Studio 10 back in 2013 and why she accepted the role. I would love to know who else auditioned for the show.[quote=“Mamammia, topic:97”]
They landed me first, and then they thought of Joe…Then they had to find the others, so there were a lot of auditions, lots of women came and tried out. Then they settled on Sarah. And then they had to find the other one…

These last 2 days off were Sarah’s first off since she came back from maternity leave in June.
Ita has mentioned during birthday celebrations shows how the team was put together, but this recent interview goes into more details it’s very interesting.
Yesterday’s show was great with Tarsh and Kerry filling in,have to say the fill ins on this show are always just as good as the regular team in my opinion anyway.
Jess also says in her book about getting the job. She originally auditioned for Sarah’s job and was devastated about missing about. But her agent and her husband convinced them to give her another audition where she just went for it, and she got the job.
Probably one of the reasons she has only filled in for Sarah once or twice. In Boland’s Brekky Central, Adam says that he wanted Ita as the ‘star’ of the show or the ‘host’ ( so Sarah job) but McKnight convinced him that Sarah would be much more capable in the role:
I really wish they used Jess more in the hosting role. The couple of episodes she did fill in were a lot better than anything Sandra Sully, Chris Bath or Anjali Rao managed to do. Tarsh Belling is really the only other one who feels natural in the role besides Sarah.
In saying that Jess often adds the most interesting points to the discussion topics of all the presenters, even though I hardly ever agree with what she’s saying. So the general thought is keeping her there allows a more balanced panel.
I have never been able to watch a decent amount of Sully and Rowe in the hosting chair enough to judge aside from a few videos online. However, I thought Bathie did a really good job, especially considering it was her first time presenting a breakfast/morning show format.[quote=“TheIdiotBoxAU, post:481, topic:97”]

Agree and it is quite noticeable when she is absent. But @blackbox I would really like to see Jess given a segement. Joe, Ita, Denise , Robbo and even Jono has had segments of his own too.
Anyone have any clips or links of Jess in the hosts chair?
As you would recall, Jess did host the short lived Studio 10 You. But here are two clips of Rowe driving the bus:
I actually didn’t know that.
Thanks for the links.
Yeah whilst Sarah hosted Studio 10, Ita and Jess co-hosted Studio 10 You (from 10.30-11) with Sarah and Joe the panellists. I suppose the show’s format/content (which should have been a segment instead as a separate show) was Jess’s forte.
Sarah and Ita returning on Monday morning.
Watching those clips back, it’s amazing to think that was really not that long ago. The set is a lot more refined now in its current configuration, Joe’s hair is 100% better, the supers are much better and it’s absolutely evident more than ever that Rob made the right choice with putting Sarah in the drivers chair.
It also reminded me of all the things they’ve tried and dropped over the years: Studio 10 YOU, newsroom updates, weather, checking the front pages of the newspapers, iTunes/box office rankings to name a few.
Agreed. The show has come a long way!
