With only 2 cameras up there I played it safe. I don’t think you can do our show with only 2 cameras but it has given me some ideas of how we can do it going forward. Costs will always be a part of these decisions and finding a smarter (and cost effective) way of doing it is essential.
Upon investigation I think there’s a way of doing a whole show on location with 5 cameras using only the SNG… we’ll see.

Isn’t having a back-up reason enough? It’s also cheaper I imagine than sending 4 or 5 hosts to Brisbane.
Not necessarily when you consider you are paying for crew in both Ipswich and Sydney to basically do half the work each. Seems like a waste of resources to me!

It’s always fun to read the commentary when people are making assumptions about the budget of programs.
I would like to see at the start of the show them crossing to the Ten Eyewitness news desk for a short update. I personally think this will boost the presence (the very little presence it already has) of the Ten news brand.
It’s not a news program as such and shouldn’t be.
Yeah we have discussed this before. We have even suggested Jessica Rowe read the news headlines . But, despite that Studio 10 is a great show. BTW, welcome

Studio 10 broadcasting from Melbourne studio today and tomorrow. Natalie Bassingthwaighte guest panellist this morning.
@blackbox Gorgi Coghlan would be a great panellist during a Melbourne show one day.
Apparently a staff member forgot to send details to people who had registered for tickets for the Melbourne broadcast today, so the program went on social media early this morning urgently calling people to come to the studio!
Obviously got a very good response it looks a full house to me.
The Possibility of some production crew being used to fill the house is likely too.
If it’s at Como Centre they might have just gone downstairs to pluck some people from the shopping centre or off the street, it’s a very busy corner there
