There’s people on earth that find Alan Carr funny?
Mix-up on dates with Alan Carr, he will be the week after. On Monday it’s Michael Winslow from the Police Academy movies live in studio plus an exclusive interview with Tracy Gold from Growing Pains where she opens up about her anorexia and the show led her down that terrible path.
How come nobody reported this before now?
Let Them Drop Cake
That was great!
The show will be live in Melbourne on August 11 & 12.
Special ‘LIVE IN IPSWICH’ promo aired tonight during the news for their Friday OB.
Seems to me that Friday’s Ipswich OB has not been promoted on various Ipswich events websites. How will the locals know about it without watching the show?
Is the whole team there? Or just two hosting from there and the rest in Sydney?
Also ten Brisbane so under resourced that they brought the live eye truck all the way from ten news Sydney.
From a video they posted on Instagram, looks like it’s only Sarah, Denise & Jess there in Ipswich with Joe in the Studio from Sydney.
I hope they get some of the TEN Brisbane team there, maybe Lachlan, Georgina or Josh Holt or perhaps some of the Totally Wild crew like Ranger Stacey or something.
Interesting that they’ve brought one of the Sydney Ten News link vans up with them as well for the OB

Tarsh Belling hosting the show today from the Studio today with Joe, Jo Casamento, Mikey Robins & guest host Peta Toppano.
Was sort of expecting that but I don’t like it. Take the entire show on location or just send a reporter. Having basically two teams is a bit sily.
the Ten Sydney live truck has a satellite uplink as you can see in the photo… I’m assuming they’re ‘downstreaming’ the show in Sydney which means they need multiple links out of Ipswich back to Sydney (one camera on each link.)
I tend to agree, a platform on that big grassy area with a nice outdoor lounge suite would’ve been perfect for everyone to host from. I know Robbo is overseas at the movement, but he would’ve been perfect as a roving reporter here also.
They’ve only got that awkward bench table to sit on or its just standing and the crowd just feels so far away and disjointed. The offer of free chips in the morning just doesn’t sound as appealing as coffee does (Hello, Gloria Jeans) or a brekky similar to what they do in Pyrmont.
Even if it was just Tarsh & Joe taking some hosting duties from the studio rather than 2 x fill-in’s & an extra guest host which seems like overkill. Great to see that they got Lachlan Kennedy down there though.
Your knowledge is always appreciated @lexington.
From the quick glimpses I’ve seen the Sydney studio seems like a total waste of time. The vibe up in Ipswich with just Sarah, Jess and Denise works well enough and could have made for a very fun laid back episode just with the 3 of them and the locals.
You’ve made the effort to go up to Qld, why not commit fully to it? If someone tuned in for the in-studio bits they could just turn off and not even realise Jess, Sarah and Denise are on location.
The only reason for the Sydney studio I can justify is to have a backup if the satellite link to Ipswich failed? Otherwise completely pointless.
Good on them for going on location in any case! You certainly wouldn’t see Today Extra or The Morning Show trying anything like this very often!!
the biggest problem in Brisbane for Studio 10 is a lack of production resources. Melbourne 10 and Sydney 10 have the ability to take crew on the road easily, allowing a very cheap OB.
However, Brisbane is geared towards ‘turn around’ production - Totally Wild, Scope etc… which involve two crews going out and filming, then coming back to the station to edit the segments which go to air 3-4 weeks later.
So for Brisbane it really comes down to an expensive out sourcing of equipment that the budget just doesn’t cover, so they need an event to tie in and cover costs…
I don’t get the whole ‘on location’ thing when a couple of the hosts go and then there’s a full panel back in Sydney. Either all go and do it properly or don’t bother. It was like when the show was promoted as going on location to the Gold Coast but Sarah was on her lonesome at Currumbin Surf Club and only shown for a few minutes.
Yeah it looks and feels like rubbish.
Theyre better off just having one person go “on location” to do some stories and interviews and leave the show in the studio.
I saw the opener this morning from Friday’s edition and thought having the two teams wasn’t as bad as I was expecting. However, I agree that the panel was just stupid and a waste of time. The chemistry and vibe in Ipswich is really great, surely they could have just sent Joe too. They could have still only used the two cameras and the park benches and it would have been really great. @blackbox, it was great of you though to get them up here in QLD! ![]()
