A set is a set…it can be changed. Nothing to do with a differant studio.

If Ten didn’t go into Administration Melbourne would gone anyway. It would’ve been done from Sky news set somewhere.

ya’ll are forgetting the main reason why FF moved to Sydney… Grant Denyer. he’d had jack of commuting to Melbourne for an ever increasing workload of episodes to film.

… but we digress.

that was a benefit, but it was Denyer having to commute from Bathurst -> Sydney -> Melbourne every week, on top of his radio show and his family.

Yesterday’s ratings are pretty scary for the show moving forward.

4 easy fixes:

  1. Bring back the 5th panellists ASAP - preferably comedians.
  2. Bring back Jono Coleman to do the throws to the advertorials, it made them significantly more watchable even though we knew they were pre-recorded.
  3. Produce more hot topics segments and less random long form interviews.
  4. Involve the studio audience more. Get them involved and asking the panel questions.

Ita will be on The Morning Show tomorrow to talk about the upcoming Royal Wedding. That didn’t take long for her to pop up on a rival station.

If ratings don’t improve by September, Ten may need to re introduce a new morning show come 2019.

Hopefully the Studio 10 brand can repair it self.

The rot started well before he left though. Extending the show to 12pm, taking the whole panel off air for a day to film a stupid Christmas video (I think this was the day Denise threw the infamous sprout?), and including too many OTT promos (eg - “coming up the health story you just can’t miss”) are all sour points on an otherwise strong legacy.

In all honesty I also think losing the Gloria Jeans deal and reducing Jono’s role were also huge mistakes. The old studio felt homely and made the studio audience feel much more part of it. Even the revealing doors and Joe hi-fiving Damo every morning was a nice touch that made it feel like family.

I think there needs to be way more humour added into the show. Have a planned rundown but if Denise or someone else changes the topic to something else just go with it and see what happens. Back in the day The Circle was so much more entertaining by having this looser style.

I just saw yesterdays ratings.

They haven’t been that bad since the show first started.
