[/quote] I think Chris did a terrific job on today’s show. I was unfortunately unable to record, but I watched the first hour or so on TenPlay. Sorry to those Anjali fans but IMO Bathie did a much better job. Yes, Anjali does good and I understand that it would be a difficult job and not a job for everyone, but I feel Chris had more chemistry with the panel, great banter skills and I felt I had a connection to her. I also find that the show follows better with Team A of Ita, Joe and Jess. Yes, Denise is hilarious and is great with Jess, just for the first hour especially something is missing from Studio 10 when Ita is away.
God if ten could only hire Chris Bath permanently. Create some news bulletin for her.
And God…extending studio 10 staring them in the face.

Chris started very nervously which is understandable when you haven’t hosted in this format,of course she got better as time went on
The other hosts backed her up very well and overall she did very well.

I agree re Ita. Everyone is on their best behaviour when she is around whereas the show is more relaxed and flows better when Denise is on.
I thought Chris did a brilliant job. She was more than willing to share her opinion and guided the conversation very well, not an easy feat when you are thrown in the deep end.
Agree with @cmo, Ten need to sign Bathie up. At the moment Ten have a wealth of talent on their hands in the form of Anjali, Chris and Natarsha but not enough programs to utilise them. Beef up the bulletins.

[/quote] I do agree that post 10am Denise is missed. But for the Hot Topics and first hour and a half, Ita provides way more knowledge, way more opinion and way more wisdom than Denise. From what I have seen, Denise’s opinions on the talking points can’t at times be strong and at times has said, " Why did you have to come to me?". Ita, in those times, provides so many facts, so many statistics, I am amazed and well-in-truly informed from what she delivers unlike any other panellist. When Denise has filled in for Jess, the show is perfect with both Denise and Ita together, they balance each other out. Just my opinion that’s all.[quote=“Travis, post:253, topic:97”]

[/quote] I don’t think Ita nor @blackbox want that. If Ita ever retires, I think she would come back and do interviews from time to time.
Agree. Denise can be a bit lost at times when it is a serious discussion. Ita does rattle off facts etc but that comes down to homework. You can tell she has done her research on each topic. Same goes for Gretel Killeen when she’s on. She is ridiculously knowledgeable about 99% of what is discussed because she’s done her homework and often drops this into the discussion with a comment like “when I was reading up on this last night…”

Ok agree with comments about Ita and her knowledge on subjects is always spot on because she does her research beforehand.It just feels like Ita is giving you a lecture.
But for me Denise is my favourite host and yes she is total opposite of Ita in many ways.Denise brings fun and laughter and sometimes that is really needed after discussing serious topics.
This show has a good mixture of seriousness and fun with lta and Denise bringing different things to the table.I enjoy the fact that the hosts are all different .

Exactly.
Why can’t they have both Ita AND Denise and drop the special guest. Like The Project, I find the randomness of the special guest unsettling.
Because they’re job sharing since neither wants to work the full five days.
