Rebecca Breeds seems to barely age.
Now known as Windcatcher, it has begun production, with Jessica Mauboy and Pia Miranda in leading roles.
Apparently Stan has pulled the show as it is too sensitive to/too many similarities with the situation in Israel
I believe it was just pulled from the MIPCOM slate.
Just checked the app and it’s still showing there for me.

COUNTRY MUSIC’S BIGGEST NIGHT IS COMING TO STAN. LIVE FROM NASHVILLE ON NOVEMBER 9, STAN WILL BE THE EXCLUSIVE HOME TO “THE 57TH ANNUAL CMA AWARDS”
Stan will be the only place in Australia to watch “The 57th Annual CMA Awards,” co-hosted by country music icon Luke Bryan and former American footballer Peyton Manning.
Stan today announced that it has acquired the exclusive Australian rights to “The 57th Annual CMA Awards,” broadcasting live on November 9, same time as the U.S., only on Stan.
Following the exclusive live broadcast of the 2023 Golden Globe Awards in January, the 2023 CMA Awards marks Stan’s second live awards ceremony, and will be followed by Stan’s exclusive live broadcast of the 37th ARIA Awards on November 15 at 5pm.
Honouring the best of country music, the CMA Awards is the longest running, annual music awards program on network television history. The awards program is hosted in Nashville, the heart of American country music. The live broadcast will begin from 11am AEDT on Thursday November 9. A huge array of popular country music artists are nominated, including Luke Combs, Carrie Underwood, Lainey Wilson, Kelsea Ballerini, Morgan Wallen, Miranda Lambert and Cody Johnson.
Leading the nominations this year is reigning Female Vocalist and New Artist of the Year Lainey Wilson, as she makes CMA Awards history yet again by becoming the only artist to top the nominations list in her first two appearances on the Final Ballot. In 2022, Lainey Wilson topped the nominations list with six nods as a first-time nominee. She now ties Merle Haggard and Miranda Lambert with nine nominations in a single year (Alan Jackson holds the record with 10 nominations in 2002).
Also leading the nominations is Luke Combs, including a nomination for his chart-topping cover of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car”. Back-to-back reigning Entertainer of the Year, Luke Combs returns with his fourth consecutive nomination for the night’s highest honour. With this year’s nods, Combs has received 22 total nominations since 2017.
Interesting for Stan to be picking up fairly niche rights to award shows, not sure the numbers watching would justify the investment.

Three of these titles are in partnership with global content leaders, with Totally Completely Fine in partnership with AMC Networks’ Sundance Now and Fremantle, Wolf Like Me S2 with Fifth Season and Peacock, and Prosper with Hollywood studio Lionsgate.

The Stan Original Series Prosper
Stan Chief Executive Officer Martin Kugeler said: “The latest annual report from Screen Australia highlights Stan’s commitment to investing in premium local content that champions Australian screen stories. We thank Screen Australia, the state screen agencies, and our production partners in Australia and acknowledge the extraordinary breadth of talent from the creatives who bring these stories to life on Stan.
We continue to invest in Australian drama despite increasing challenges - regulatory pressures, significant increases in production costs, shortage of skilled workers and facilities.
As we collaborate with award-winning and emerging creatives to capture and entertain Australian audiences, we also acknowledge our global partners Lionsgate, Fremantle, Fifth Season, AMC Networks’ Sundance Now and Peacock, who work alongside us to bring our content to international audiences. We are excited about the content Stan will be premiering in 2024 and beyond.”
The Stan Original Film Christmas Ransom
Outside of these eight titles, Stan continues to build its scripted slate with a suite of productions premiering soon. The Stan Original Series Scrublands , based on the best-selling novel by Australian writer Chris Hammer, premieres November 16, all episodes at once, followed by the Stan Original Film Jones Family Christmas on November 23. Screen Australia’s Drama Report complements the results of the FY23 Australian content expenditure report issued by ACMA on Wednesday2, which highlights a very robust and thriving local production sector underwritten by Stan and the major streaming platforms in Australia. Stan continues its significant investment and focus on original productions, delivering premium film and television content to Australians through their continued partnerships with some of the world’s most sought-after producers and creators.
You have to applaud Stan’s investment in original content, but every time I open the app I never find anything worth watching.
So many irreverent and niche commissions, and they all look the same from what I can see.
Only original series I think I watched was Bump which I quite enjoyed the first few season, but the latest I couldn’t quite get into.
I’ve watched a lot Stan originals over the years. Bump is the only thing I haven’t seen.
