Stan

I would hope they would stick with an already established player in the market. I would imagine to most Aussies that the name ‘Peacock’ is not really a recognised brand.

But if they intend on making it a worldwide brand, they will likely end contracts to build it up and take on rivals like Netflix, Disney+, Paramount+ etc. I’m quite sure you’re going to see mergers of streaming services eventually until we have about 6 or 7 huge international streaming services all affiliated with studios and networks.

In the UK and/or Europe isn’t Peacock affiliated with another company to have their streaming product rather than being standalone? I’m not sure but I think I read that somewhere.

From Wikipedia.

On November 16, 2021, the Comcast subsidiary Sky Group launched the Peacock service in the UK and Ireland, making it available free of charge to Sky TV and NOW customers.

It is good (very Cohen brothers vibe) but I think it good ridiculous by the end. I’ll be interested what you think of the last two episodes.

Wolf Like Me … is Josh Gad still in Australia or left after the show finished filming?

When it says " produced by Stan in association with NBC Universal and Peacock" is it a co production?

I notice it will air on Peacock in the US .

I feel like you’ve answered your own question here.

Ok then assuming it is , looks like NBC Universal’s deal won’t be leaving Stan in a hurry then if they are doing co productions.

Yeah I agree I wasn’t a fan of the ending, or the last few episodes. The ending was really strange.

There is nothing like a good Australian drama - and this is nothing like a good Australian drama.

I think it’s safe to say 50 Shades is no longer the worse thing on Jamie Dornan’s CV. Just a dodgy 90 minute movie dragged out over 6 hours.

It has got some good reviews from UK mastheads but nothing like his role in The Fall which was outstanding.

I feel like that happens a lot these days with these miniseries. What could have worked well in a tight 90 minutes is stretched out over 4 or 6 hours.

The first few episodes were great. It just lost its way.

What Stan shall do is pick up the Australian First Run Rights to Hit Sitcom The Goldberg’s from Seven, As they continue to Jerk it around.

The Goldbergs is currently on Prime Video, but I’m not sure what the nature of the deal is.

I’ll write a letter to Prime Video then

What will that do?

What Seven does with the show has nothing to do with Amazon.
