Stan

It would be good to see Stan become the home of HULU originals and Peacock originals.

Yes, Hulu originals need a home in AU, they’re spread everywhere at the moment. Disney should just partner with Stan for the “more adult” content.

Theese streamers doing their own thing isn’t going to last, the streaming market is already too fragmented - and imo the showtime content isn’t all that great at the moment - not enough to entice me to sign up to it’s own service (or 10 All Access).

This could possibly be a stunt for a new series of Who Is America.

I think the viacomCBS streaming service will be the rebranded 10 All Access or something similar to what is happening in the US.

What about the UK, any worthy production company over there?

Why would they put Showtime on 10 All Access with it’s 100? subscribers, and I assume charge more, wouldn’t they make more money licensing it to Stan?

It would be to mirror CBS’ US plan to to beef up
All access to be a full competitor to peacock Disney Netflix h Hulu etc. It would be with the intention that long term all access would
Bring in More money by keeping content for themselves. CBS has already started doing this in the US and pulling back content like South Park. If that is their vision for the future, that’s likely to extend to Australia at some point

Not my words but saw this comment in another discussion forum

“If anything I expect they know that they can’t do a Disney, but rather will renew the deal with a non-exclusive clause so they can put content on All Access or whatever it becomes, but also get their free money from Stan.”

So could they do that? Have it non exclusive ? Like Britbox is supposedly supposed to be when it launches here …

I’m looking forward to this, and hoping it is better than the bewildering Peter Allen and Molly Meldrum and so-so Olivia Newton-John productions.

Stan has acquired upcoming ITV crime drama Des, starring David Tennant (Doctor Who, Broadchurch) as infamous UK serial killer Dennis Nilsen.

Looks like Stan has picked up rights to Search Party Seasons 1-3

Search Party is HERE.
Every episode of Seasons 1-3, is coming July 24th, streaming only on Stan.

Off their Facebook page.

Not sure if Viceland aired Season 3?

I don’t think this show was announced in the monthly what’s coming stuff.

Has anyone watched Outcry?

Sky Atlantic drama Little Birds premieres on Stan on August 5, same day as UK. The 6-part series is distributed by ITV Studios Global Entertainment.

Brilliant doco. Skipped past it so many times because I saw American football mentioned in the synopsis but heard/read the rave reviews and ended up smashing through it over two nights. Certainly shines a light on how flawed the American justice system is with so many only interested in looking after their own interests and climbing the career ladder rather than ensuring the truth is uncovered.
