I’d like to see Stan Sport offer their sports channels as a stand alone offer. It’s just greedy to package it with regular Stan IMO. I’m not interested in their rugby or tennis only the European football and I wish Optus sport had that! They did however give me a special Olympics offer.

Hingston also took viewers on a tour of Stan Sport’s Olympics set, which is actually located at GTV9 studios at Docklands (the Sunday Footy Show/Footy Classified set?). The clue is the label for 9News Melbourne weather presenters Livinia Nixon and Madeline Spark in the wardrobe.

I just saw on the Stan app Stan sport now has Dimond league athletics. It’s been a while since this has been available in Aus.

I have seen some of these turn up on Bein sports but nothing live.

We haven’t seen any alpine skiing or freestyle skiing since Eurosport left in 2020.

It was basically a reply of a old event. Why they were showing it im not sure but thats the last place I’ve seen it put up.

According to Stan Sport’s social media post, it began streaming the Diamond League with the Lausanne meeting on August 21. It must have been a late addition due to Stan’s successful broadcast of Paris Olympics.
It will be interesting to see if this is a short term deal or if Stan will sign a new deal with World Athletics to broadcast the full season in 2025.

Stan Sport will stream live the 2024 Laver Cup, which is being held in Berlin from Friday to Sunday this week. Thanasi Kokkinakis is the sole Australian player in Team World for the three-day tennis tournament.

Will there be ads during a live sport or just after the program?
Not during games like Nine you’d think.
Unless they plan on doing completely different price tier of stan sport? But heard nothing about that.

Probably like Kayo Sports. They have been adding promos during Champions League

Will probably be like Fox Footy, etc, and have the ads during the half time break, pre and post match, etc.

Having said that there are a few sports that stan has (Motor sports anyway) that are set up to have ads but currently there shown ad free.
