All of the suburban grounds are shit. Should have moved away from them ages ago. At least Campbelltown have enough juniors to sustain them.
The mergers in 1999 were house. St George and Cronulla shouldâve merged, as should Penrith and Parramatta, Wollongong should still have a team, and Manly and Norths should have been dragged up to Gosford and told to stay put. Heck, the Rorters and Souths should have merged. Couldâve shoved the Doggies into the West Tigers merger too, or combine them with Perth or Adelaide or even the Gold Coast to prop them up.
Out of all those suggestions, the only ones I agree with is St George should have merged with Cronulla and Wollongong remained. And Norths should have gone to Gosford and Manly remained.
Iâm still right. Brookvale was shit then, shit now, not worthy of any tax dollars going for a reno.
I can think of better things to spend tax dollars on. Manly isnt one of them. Bite me.
