The light rail is only three blocks away. Not as secluded as one may think.

Shouldn’t be 3 blocks away. Buses should be running right to the gate.

Leichhardt should be demolished and turned into apartments for the exclusive benefit of teachers, police officers, nurses, firefighters, etc.

Move it to the 2nd worst ground in the league after Cronulla? In an area that nobody gives a flying about sports?

All of the suburban grounds are shit. Should have moved away from them ages ago. At least Campbelltown have enough juniors to sustain them.

The mergers in 1999 were house. St George and Cronulla should’ve merged, as should Penrith and Parramatta, Wollongong should still have a team, and Manly and Norths should have been dragged up to Gosford and told to stay put. Heck, the Rorters and Souths should have merged. Could’ve shoved the Doggies into the West Tigers merger too, or combine them with Perth or Adelaide or even the Gold Coast to prop them up.

Out of all those suggestions, the only ones I agree with is St George should have merged with Cronulla and Wollongong remained. And Norths should have gone to Gosford and Manly remained.

I’m still right. Brookvale was shit then, shit now, not worthy of any tax dollars going for a reno.

I can think of better things to spend tax dollars on. Manly isnt one of them. Bite me.

Cricket Australia confirmed the Gabba has been axed from a jam-packed summer schedule. The decision is being blamed on uncertainty over the venue's future, that's despite the Gabba staying put until at least 2032. #Cricket #Test #Gabba #SummerofCricket #Qld pic.twitter.com/S3ZoO1NStS

Why not build the stadium over the road?

It may be the smallest Olympic Stadium in more than a century but it’s the way of the future.

No post-Games knock-down and redevelopment like past Olympics and will be an icon for Brisbane and Queensland well after the Paralympics Closing Ceremony

Brisbane Stadium to be ‘sunk’ into Victoria Park to become ‘world’s best’

Architects have revealed how Brisbane Stadium will use cutting-edge technology and underground design to give Queensland teams an unprecedented home ground advantage.

Ms O’Driscoll said rapid advancements in technology would create stadium features currently unimaginable to patrons.

“The big changes won’t be the pixels on the scoreboard,” she said.

“It’s all the mobile phone considerations and the ability to walk into a bar, read your face, take something and walk out without sort of any interface.”

“You’re going to see bulldozers, you’re going to see excavators and unfortunately it will not be able to be used between June 1 and 2032, but we’ve got to build a 63,006 stadium,” he said.

Two groups, including some of the world’s leading venue operators, have been shortlisted to demolish and rebuild Brisbane’s Gabba stadium, as the Crisafulli government moves ahead with a controversial plan for the 2032 Olympics.

That’s how they built SoFi Stadium while staying within LAX’s height restrictions. Sunken is smart.

Being on a hill means it is easier to sink a stadium.

Kogarah Oval - home of the St George Illawarra Dragons - has a new sponsor name. The ground will be now known as: St George Venues Jubilee Stadium

I actually didn’t know much about “St George Venues” prior to today, despite knowing the clubs behind the venues. But at least the ground has “St George” and “Jubilee” in the naming ground. Also, the ground will still be known as Kogarah Oval to many. lol.

OKI Jubilee, WIN Jubilee, UOW (University of Wollongong) Jubilee, Netstrata Jubilee, and now St George Venues Jubilee. We are coming like Shark Park with so many name changes! lol.
