Thank god. I’ve never seen so much turmoil over a stadium, perhaps with the exception of the location for the Brisbane Olympic stadium.

The Wollongong Entertainment Centre will be rebuilt and branded WIN Arena, with capacity nearly doubling to 9,500 people.
The Wollongong showground, widely known as WIN Stadium, will be significantly redesigned to include a new northern grandstand and an extended, reconfigured southern grandstand with improved player facilities.
The concept plan also includes a new Southern Plaza to be built on the training oval and a beach promenade behind the famous eastern hill spectator area.

The new WIN Entertainment Centre (aka WIN Arena) looks great - and is a much indeed upgrade to the 'Gong.
As for WIN Stadium’s upgrade? I thought that the Grandstands were fixed not that long ago? And the hill looks like that will be hugely impacted. I also hope that it’s more of a WIN Stadium rather than a LOSE Stadium too - for my sake (and the Dragons fans too). lol.

The western grandstand is fairly new, but the southern stand is from the late 80s and northern stand about 2000.

These images were recently shared on social media, showing the demolition of the grandstands and the ongoing realignment of the racecourse at Moonee Valley Racing Club.
The grandstand on the far left in the first image has now been completely demolished, and demolition work appears to have commenced behind the grandstand.

It’s scary to think I thought this was a good venue…. then this happened. 
spent many hours at the Valley growing up with my grandparents - they lived in footscray and we would get the 82 tram there for racedays. also spent a bit of time at flemington as well

What they dont say is that its one NSW Government entity (Sydney Olympic Park Authority) leasing the facility to another NSW Government entity (Venues NSW)

The $189 million redevelopment of WACA Ground in Perth is now complete, and was officially opened last weekend by WA state governor Chris Dawson, ahead of the women’s test between Australia and India starting on Friday. The project includes a new aquatic and wellness hub called The Pavilion, a waterslide park and new function spaces.
