Tasmania will get the 9th WNBL team from 2026-27.

No word about who owns it, at least from what I can see. I don’t know if the Jackjumpers own the WNBL franchise or if it’s an independent group.

Redcliffe, Australia to host WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup Finals in 2027

Australia, who hosted the first edition of the most prestigious international women’s softball tournament in Melbourne in 1965, will welcome the event again 62 years later in Redcliffe, 45 minutes outside of Brisbane.
