Paris Olympics organizing committee has released the competition schedule for the 2024 Games, two years from the opening ceremony. It has also launched the official slogan of the Games: Games Wide Open.

The Commonwealth Games Federation, the Andrews Labor Government and Commonwealth Games Australia is today unveiling the full Sport Program for the Victoria 2026 Commonwealth Games, featuring 20 sports and 26 disciplines, including nine fully integrated Para sports.
Golf, 3x3 Basketball, 3x3 Wheelchair Basketball, Coastal Rowing, Shooting, Shooting Para Sport, BMX Racing, Mountain Bike Cross Country, Track Cycling and Para Cycling Track have been added to the already impressive sports line-up, while Coastal Rowing, Golf, and BMX will make a Commonwealth Games debut.
EDIT: women’s T20 cricket will again be included in the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
EDIT 2: wrestling, archery, judo and rhythmic gymnastics have been dropped.

The ABC reported road cycling and BMX will be held in Shepperton which had not been previously mentioned as hosting events.

Coastal Rowing…I know it’s been ages since standard rowing was a part of the Commonwealth Games but are they that desperate to reinvent the wheel in order to try to act relevant?
Anyway, frustrating morning on Sunday as I completed the Melbourne Marathon for the 8th time. On track for a 4:30 run at mid race distance, but the groins started playing up in the last 10km and blew out to a 5:00 neat (winner ran a course record 2:08). Off to Auckland to run there in just over a fortnight.

The Victorian Government announced this morning that Bendigo would host six events during the 2026 Commonwealth Games:
track cycling and para track cycling
3x3 basketball and 3x3 wheelchair basketball
lawn bowls and para lawn bowls
table tennis and para table tennis
netball
squash

Fox- same coverage as 7 with no ads. Only benefit to 7 over Kayo is it’s probably 15-20 seconds ahead.
