Southern Cross Austereo (Regional)

I seem to recall Hobart has local content as follows:

HIT, Networked Breakfast but based in Hobart, and local till Midday then network.

Triple M, Local Breakfast show, then local announcer, maybe live or voice tracked some or part of the shift till 2 when they go network.

New breakfast show for Triple M Townsville, Cliffo moves to Workdays

From next Monday June 8, the CK & Kate Breakfast Show wakes up Townsville with Cliff ‘CK’ Kern and Kate Jeboult delivering everything listeners need to know in North Queensland.

As to Cliffo, after recently celebrating 25 years in radio and nearly two decades on breakfast, he has made the decision to discover what mornings look like after 4am. A shift to CK’s workdays spot gives him with a new challenge and more time with his young family.

Prestigious local award for Triple M Bundaberg’s Jacob & El

Triple M Bundaberg’s Jacob Nicholls and Elerrina McPherson – aka Jacob & El for Breakfast – have been officially recognised for their tireless contributions to the local Bundy community.

Last weekend, at the Bundaberg City Daybreak Rotary dinner, Jacob and Elerrina were each individually honoured with the Paul Harris Fellow Award.

Are we gonna mention the current SCA state shows being made redundant.

Have they gotten rid of the Triple M local shows?

Which? Hit or Triple M?

Both

Does this mean we’ll hear metro shows rolled out across all regionals?

What does it mean for local Triple M Regional brekkie shows?

Is the Pope a Catholic?

Aside from a few…I could see them getting the arse. SCA would FAFO.

I don’t think Nath & Emma are the right fit for this.

What I’m hearing is:

  • hit Newcastle/NSW staying on to become hit East Coast, replacing the VIC/Tas and Qld shows.
  • Triple M Regional WA breakfast replaced by Triple M Perth breakfast

Sounds like the last shows for the departing teams were today.

SeaFM and Hit Qld lose their breakfast show. The Hit Newcastle show replaces it.

SeaFM Gold Coast a shadow of it’s former self
Guessing Triple M is now the live & local arm of SCM Radio Divison.
I hope ARN fry ARN in Gold Coast ratings later on this year

Will also be interesting to see whether Hit Newcastle, Hobart, Gold Coast etc start taking network feeds from 12pm or if they’ll stay local until 3pm.

Aren’t they already only local from 9-12? I though Loues was national on the regionals from 12.

I heard that Triple M Regional WA will still have its own show but the northern show will be replaced by the southern show out of Bunbury. So 2 shows become 1 show.

I thought Hit Newcastle was local until 3pm, I could be wrong however.

I believe Loues does 12-3pm on hit Queensland but could be mistaken

So sad when you think back to what RG Capital Radio was in its heyday at Seabank/Southport or even 4GG before that - from North of 100 people to not even a breakfast show on SeaFM
