Notice that Triple M limestone coast isn’t taking the Fremantle v Gold Coast match, it’s just non stop automated music, without any ads or ID.

Backup tape?

Might be.

Nah it wouldn’t be cause the backup SD cards at the TX site have an ID between each song

Unless it is a backup of some kinda at the studio

They should rebrand 92.7 Mix FM Sunshine Coast as Triple M & 91.9 Sea FM Sunshine coast as hit91.9 Sunshine Coast because Sunshine Coast has SCA has their own TV station as Channel Ten/SC10

The problem is, those stations aren’t owned by SCA. They are owned by GSL media.

SCA also doesn’t own the TV assets anymore either.

I wouldn’t call it an “asset”… more like a handicap or nuisance!

Even ignoring ownership, I’m sure having Hit and Hot brands in the same market would go well.

SCA can’t own 92.7 or 91.9 due to the overlap with Brisbane and the 2 station rule

They did use to own Sea and Mix, but after the then-Southern Cross Media merged with Austereo and became Southern Cross Austereo, the ACMA placed SCA in breach of media diversity laws, forcing SCA to sell the Sunny Coast stations to EON Broadcasting in 2013.

Residents who want Hit and Triple M on the Sunshine Coast can just listen to the Brisbane stations i.e B105 (Hit) and Triple M respectively.

SCA got out of the TV business. As part of this they offloaded their 3-agg regional TV stations in Southern NSW-ACT and Regional VIC/QLD to Network 10. That was announced in December 2024 and the sale of those stations was completed on 1st March 2025.

Milestones for Triple M’s Guy ‘Cliffo’ Clifton and Leisel Jones

Guy “Cliffo” Clifton, co-host of Townsville’s #1 radio show Cliffo & Kate for Breakfast on 102.3 Triple M, is celebrating 25 years in radio today. On the Gold Coast, it was also 25 years ago that Triple M’s Leisel Jones became the youngest member of the Australian Swim Team for the Sydney Olympics aged just 15. She would go on to win two silver medals, in the 100m breaststroke and the 4x100m Medley Relay.

I’ve always thought Cliff was his 1st name instead

They should rebrand Tamworth commercial radio stations TMFM 95.5 as Triple M and 92.9 FM as hit92.9 (not to be confused with Perth, WA of the same radio station name).
