Southern Cross Austereo (Regional)

I had a listen today to Hit CQ and nothing has changed. The above playlist is still the same as before and they were still saying Hits and Old School.
Maybe the changes are coming for the regionals?

:grinning: My Wife has just walked into the house and the first thing she said…Hit FM is sounding awesome today.
I am guessing the regional s have taken on the new format today.

Looking at Lava & comparing the playlists, the regional Hit stations are now on the same log as that of Newcastle & Gold Coast, who moved older yesterday.

As I’ve mentioned on the “Hit Network” thread yesterday, it’s going to be interesting on how its competitors in a number of regional markets will respond to Hit skewing older in its music playlist.

Does that mean Hit Central Coast & Hit Newcastle are identical?

What log is Canberra on because they had some different songs to Hit 101.3 that normally follow the same log song for song?

There needs to be some difference in the two stations playlist considering they are neighbouring licences.

A lot more overlap now between Hit 101.3 and Star 104.5.
The jingles are almost identically-
This is Star
This is Hit

Sounds like SCA ripped this off Nova.

Hit 104.7 is on the same log as the other regionals. This means that it’s now enroaching into the territory of its sister station Mix 106.3, which uses its own log.

Yes.

Been listening to 96.1 SAFM throughout this week & I have been enjoying the change in the playlist, noticed they now take Sean Craig Murphy from SAFM Adelaide from 9.00am to 12.00pm & are announcer free from 12.00pm to 3.00pm.

Are they also using 13 10 60?

No, the local breakfast show still uses 13 12 16.

Listening to 96.1 SAFM, heard the correct sweeper followed by one for 2Day

Yep, been listening throughout today & have heard the 2DayFM sweepers at least twice an hour, obviously there’s a glitch in the system somewhere that needs fixing ASAP & would it kill for 96.1 SAFM to put some announcers on during the day, instead of non stop music?

It’s odd. They’ve gone from taking the network feed out of Townsville to suddenly taking mornings, and only mornings, from Adelaide. Logically (aside from going fully local) they should be getting Adelaide’s afternoons and weekend shifts as well.

Wonder if Triple M might be next?
