Yeah I think this cast change is perfect - the right ones have left as they were very niche in what they were looking for (especially Catriona) and I’m glad that the others have stayed on. I also really liked Nick on The Apprentice. I’m pretty happy with this cast.
Does anyone else think that photo looks a little off?
Well yeah it’s photoshopped, they’ve probably never been in the room together if they haven’t started filming yet.
Wednesdays Are A Big Deal.
Shark Tank Australia Premieres Wednesday, 16 October At 8.30pm On 10 And 10 Play.
The tank is ready, and our Sharks are looking for their next big thing. A whole new batch of emerging Entrepreneurs are gearing up to make the deal of a lifetime in the brand-new season of Shark Tank Australia.
Returning investors Davie Fogarty, Jane Lu and Robert Herjavec are joined by two new sharks, Maxine Horne and Nick Bell, as they battle it out and bid on innovative ideas from Entrepreneurs looking to take their business to the next level. With over $5 million worth of investments made last season, including $1 million for one product, our Sharks are on the hunt for the next big deal.
Keep your eyes peeled for some familiar faces who wade into the tank this season like former Bachelor star Dr. Matt Agnew who swaps cocktail parties for a totally different kind of feeding frenzy.
The all-new season of Shark Tank Australia premieres Wednesday, 16 October at 8.30pm on 10 and 10 Play, and will continue Wednesdays at 7.30pm.
Shark Tank Australia is based on the Dragons’ Den format owned by Japan’s Nippon TV and distributed by Sony Pictures Television. It will be produced for Network 10 by SPT’s Curio Pictures.
Another new night for the show, and my hopes that this would stay in the 8:30pm slot were soon dashed as I kept reading.
Not sure why they think it will be any different this time around, the show really only worked as a 8:30pm series in the previous incarnation.
Sundays at 8:00/8:30 would’ve been perfect, but they obviously need the new content for the rest of the year for weeknights.
The first week is 8.30, and then 7.30 the remainder of the series? Will see if any more timeslot changes will occur throughout this series…
10 is using the season finale of Thank God You’re Here on October 16 as the lead-in to Shark Tank.
I reckon the following Wednesday could be either Wheel of Fortune Australia or a US drama (Matlock, Elspeth, NCIS: Hawaii).
As shown in the promo above, former Bachelor Matt Agnew will appear on the show, spruiking his non-alcoholic beer Pash to the four Sharks. He posted on his Instagram late last month:
Cat’s out of the bag. Or out of the tank. Or in the tank. Actually I’m in the tank. There’s no cat either. Just me asking the Sharks what they’ve always wanted to be asked:
Do you fancy a Pash?
I’m jumping into the tank with Australia’s hottest new non-alcoholic beer @drinkpash
“You’ve got to be clear, you’ve got to be concise, and you’ve got to be direct,” he tells TV Tonight.
“And before you sell me on your idea that nobody in the history of mankind has ever seen, you got to sell me on yourself. People buy from people, and the first thing you have to sell me is on yourself.”
Has the show got a new narrator to replace Sarah Harris? That sounds like Osher Gunsberg to me.
Also, 10 put on a special countdown at the end of Thank God You’re Here just for this show.
I guess they’ve got to give him something now that Masked Singer and The Bachelor have been cut.
Plus allows Sarah to focus on The Project.
Definitely sounds like Osher, interesting.
The show looks so much better this year, the backdrop behind the sharks is better, and the lighting is better too.
Also new break bumper titles? Look to have been updated. Really like both of the new sharks too.
Davie mentioned that Shark Tank is all done and dusted over a 2 week period
There’s quite a rigorous process that is undertaken before a product gets a spot on the show.
(10’s head of scripted, Sarah Thornton)
“Because the sharks are putting their own money into these businesses, they have to really believe in them. We do a lot of vetting and checking before people get to be on the show.
“The application numbers were huge for this season. We then have a three-tier vetting system. That includes business checks to make sure that the claims are accurate. Curio Pictures has done a lot of work on their process for finding, selecting, and vetting for businesses that come through, I think the sharks are really impressed with the quality.”
KIIS’ Will and Woody appeared on last night’s episode, pitching edible serviettes The Servi-Eat.
Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa did it first…in 2016.
Matt’s segment will be shown this Wednesday. This afternoon a 20 second pitch was posted on Matt’s Instagram.
