Maybe the women can play best of five and find themselves in the same situation.
That would go down a treat with the thousands of ticket holders who have paid a fortune for tickets plus, for many, accommodation and airfares.
The organisers werenât even prepared to move the start time of the final so that it wasnât directly up against the World Cup final which England were a chance of featuring in.
Youâre talking about one of the biggest sporting events in the world, not a hit and giggle at the local tennis club on a Sunday arvo.
Delays are nothing new.
You got any proof for this? I havenât seen any public statement or comment by either player.
Neither player has commented on the possible delay to their match but tennis fans and writers are not happy.
Does Seven really need Weekend Sunrise to start on time? why not finish the match, then start Sunrise as soon as the match was suspended?
Theyâre wrong. It makes literally no sense to play the Djokovic/Nadal game after the womenâs final, infact if anything putting the womenâs game before it would make that final a curtain raiser.
Hopefully the rules change after this, Isner in particular is virtually unwatchable and he has no gameplay beyond big serves.
Seven are probably happier though, I think more viewers would tune into the completion of a suspended match with Djokovic and Nadal (who played the longest Gland Slam final in history right here 6 years ago) than another Serena Williams blowout
Could get even bigger shares based on how the GWS Giants v
Richmond match turns outâŚ
Why arenât Seven showing the start of the resumption of the Novak Rafa match? Their coverage doesnât start until 10:45 pm on the main channel and the match is scheduled to resume at 10. Surely they could have shown the start on 7two like always instead of Escape To The Country.
Beginning the coverage on 7Two is exactly what theyâre doing:
Cool. They should have updated the Foxtel EPG to let people with Foxtel know.
Seven hasnât updated their own free-to-air EPG either.
Thatâs pure laziness. Some people may miss the conclusion of the match altogether if the match finishes in the 4th set.
Michael Felgate and Geoff Masters
On 7Two in Melbourne, Escape to the Country was replaced by a 20min Border Security International at 9:30pm. Tennis started 9:53pm. Escape to the Country returned 10:47pm (but the they skipped the 2nd episode).
Yes, a mess.
With EPG all over the place, at different times, on different channels, in different markets.
NB/ Seven never edit their EPG âon the goâ unlike Nine after NRL and often Ten.

Are the notifications through the 7Plus/7Live/7CommGames/7Tennis active or defunct apps scheduled?
Because one just came through saying âLadies Final starts nowâ (when if that was sent live, theyâd know thatâs not the case).
Should have put this menâs match on an outside court rather than delaying the Womenâs final.
Though these two wouldnât have enjoyed it if they had.
Wimbledon ratings might be affected, because of Sevenâs schedule balls-up in every market, they knew 18 hours ago that Djokovic and Nadal would be finishing off their match!
And in Perth, the wrong information was showing on the wrong channels (7mate said âWimbledon 2018â but was showing âWorld Series Rugbyâ and vice-versa on 7Two with some on social media not pleased)
Narrator voice: They were happy.
