Seven & Ten News (SCA)

Not sure where the Sunshine Coast 10 news updates come from, but definitely not Queensland! The news reader didn’t pronounce Bli Bli the correct way.

They come from Tassie don’t they?

Come from either Hobart or Launceston

How did they pronounce “Bli Bli”?

Probably Blee Blee, hasn’t been the first time.

Bli Bli with a long I sound in pie.

Louise Houbaer is back on the weekend bulletin tonight. Again, great to have a local commercial weekend bulletin when the state is flooding, being blown away and half in the dark. It seems wild weather doesn’t stop for the weekends.

The only good thing out of SCA in broadcast. They have maintained the seven day bulletin in Tassie under very trying economic circumstances, instead cutting elsewhere and sparing this.

And 3 reporters crossing in tonight

Peter ‘Murph’ Murphy is about to celebrate 40 years as Tassie’s favourite weatherman!

Kiah Wicks from 7 Tasmania News will feature Murph in an upcoming episode of Spotlight on Tasmania, but we need your questions!

What would you like to ask Murph?

My question would be:

“Did you ever consider a move to metropolitan television on mainland Australia?”

A montage for the great Peter Murphy was on tonight’s bulletin to celebrate his 40 years. A great achievement and a very popular Tasmanian. Well done Murph! Thanks for all the laughs.
