Seven & Ten News (SCA)

Interesting to see Kim wearing a 7 TASMANIA pin on the bulletin tonight. Haven’t seen those before. Nothing for Nick Kelly on sport and Peter Murphy sticking with his AFL pin for our new team which he’s been wearing regularly for several months.

yeah, forgot to mention that bit. It was my first thought that it was very WIN News like! It was really odd and wasn’t just the 7 pin like on the sports coverage it’s a proper 7 TASMANIA one.

Will Boddy is a really good presenter, in my honest opinion

Not bad at all, he has some real potential.

If they continued the theme throughout the update it would at least appear much punchier, as well the watermark should stay on screen (it disappears when there’s a wipe around 0:33) for the entire update.

That opening story…

He does seem very decent.
He has uploaded his first read from 2022 and last night’s. Big improvement. Great potential.

He’s much better than the others, has improved really well…
Not sure about what’s growing on the top lip however haha he’ll get a shock when he gets a network job and they hand him a razor haha.

should be more 'staches on the telly!

Still looks weird when Peter Murphy doesn’t have his.

I reckon Techster should grow one and be the envy of all in SCA.

Infamously shaved it off one year.

Continuing the theme if the update itself was punchy and under a minute, definitely. But the theme dragging on for 2 minutes would be too long.

SCA’s updates are less like the punchy headline updates you’d typically see in ad breaks, and more like a cluster of more detailed PVOs that would usually be scattered through a full bulletin.

Guess they have to balance up not having a ton of local news to be able to report, so they just pad out each story rather than packing in more and keeping it punchier. Maybe SCA could get one or some of their radio newsreaders to work with the presenters/writers?

Since when did Murph do the Sunday weather?

Or was it just for the St Patrick’s Day outfit

Hang on I thought they used a green screen for the weather?

I believe they do, but you can key to specific shade of green so if the screen a particularly bright shade of green it shouldn’t be too hard to avoid keying out that shirt.

Not usually but he did both nights this weekend. Since his retirement from his day job he’s getting more and more relaxed!
