Seven & Ten News (SCA)

IIRC, the old studio had both green and blue key curtains that could be changed if needed. Maybe the current studio has something similar?

Or the computer only picks up the shade that the greenscreen is?

We just use the green screen

Big news day so odd to have the main anchor off, and the backup anchor off, and have the third reserve in!

Michael is the main back up as Louise is still on maternity leave.

So he’s the third behind the weekday anchor (who was off) and the weekend anchor (who’s on leave). Yeah.

Had a watch, decent coverage from them for a big story with multiple moving parts and especially given the timing. Nick and Victoria are good, John is, well he’s there too. Imagine it’s gonna be a big part of their bulletin over the years to come leading up to the debut game.

You can’t qualify Louise as the official back up if she’s not working.
Until she returns, Michael is the official back up.

Still odd to have the main anchor off on a big night, hope nothing is awry and of course none of our business really if it is.

Dare say one of the biggest local news days Tassie has had in a while!

Could be that like last state election, Kim is doing the special coverage from the tally room, so they must’ve re-arranged the rosters so she still has a 5-day working week.

Kim was MC’ing the Launceston launch of the team.

Not sure if this hand gesture is for Autocue or for more sound

Could be both Autocue change and sound adjustment

Yesterday was John Hunt’s last day at Seven Tasmania

Probably asking for the autocue to be moved up or down. Didn’t realise that SCA had operators rather than manually-run wheels.

Here’s a photo I took and put in the media coverage thread showing what the set up looked like. Is it the one standing there that is doing the autocue?

They’re usually not near the desk, probably sitting in the tech area behind the curtain.

There were a couple of guys there but I tried not to get a photo of the behind the scenes people without their permission but I may have uploaded it in the coverage thread the other day.
