Michael Maney doing 9 days straight of presenting. It’s stupid that they’re making him work more than 5 days when they have other people available who’d do a great job filling in this weekend like Mark Zita or Ruby Cairns.
Well Michael doesn’t normally read in general so he’s possibly going on break after reading this long? I’m sure he agreed to it so it isn’t stupid.

People are on leave or away, you can’t just assume people are “available”/

To be honest, whenever I see you on an update I shout “It’s Techster!” mainly just so I can appear cool and knowledgable with my family and I tell them that you message me.
I feel like I have a lot of street cred in the home with it. You’re lucky I haven’t found you and asked for an autograph!
It really doesn’t take much to be seen as a celebrity in Tasmania!

I do feel sorry for those who see me at Macca’s while I’m scoffing down a Big Mac.

The fact they bring in a casual to do it (during summer) shows that they’re not just gonna throw any old person in the main chair… which I know is shocking for Southern Cross. Michael has obviously come back for some work over summer and is taking what he gets. He’s not saving babies or driving semis across country so I am sure he’s managing.

There was in July last year in the last 2 weeks of the month until Peter Murphy returned from 8 weeks leave where Kiah Wicks presented weather for 14 days straight. It was bizarre they couldn’t use Jackie Harvey, Carmen Wilkin, Chelsea Freestone or Victoria Eastoe to present the weekend weather.
Why is that bizarre? As has been pointed out to me before too, this is a regional network, there aren’t just hoards of people there.
