Yes, that’s how it was when I was last there in June 2020.
Ohhh wait they’re in CST so ABC News would air at 6.30pm. I got confused, sorry mate.
I think you had it right anyway … ie. ABC News is on 6.30pm local time = 7pm EST time.
Local viewers just need to deduct 30 mins from the advertised ABC on air program times.
Still on 7TWO Mon-Fri 7.00pm (6.30pm when AFL is on)
When did it change to 7pm?
JOHN HUNT!
This was also at the time that Adelaide axed Today Tonight and moved to 1 hour bulletins.
It used to be on the main channel in place of Today Tonight.
For some reason I had 6.30 in my mind.
SCA filled the job quickly as it was advertised less than two weeks ago.
Congrats, mate.
Ruby Commane presented in Spencer Gulf last week.
And congrats to @Techster for joining the Spencer Gulf team!
Say hi to JOHN HUNT for us!
Don’t you mean:
“SAY HI TO JOHN HUNT FOR US!”
In Darwin for the weekend like many else and i don’t understand how the locals deal with seven Melbourne and then noodle updates.
For 1) they’re shit and tell you nothing
2) there’s barely 3 stories each update and they’re super brief that if you blink and you’ll miss it
Thankfully we have the ABC and 9 does well but me and my mates wanted some substantial news before the footy.
Welcome to regional Australia.
Spare a thought for the people of Mildura, Griffith, Mt Gambier, Riverland and Imparja viewers. They don’t even have local news updates.
I imagine (Southern Cross) Ten’s updates will be in the same world as what Seven Tasmania produce now for Darwin and Central. Faces to camera with no imagination.
Local news websites and Facebook groups are far more useful for local news than a short update on television.
Depends on which local sites and Facebook groups are trustworthy.
Scone.com.au has major ads for one of the candidates in the by-election, which can make them look biased. And don’t forget people spreading fake crap on Facebook.
