Not sure what Hamish is doing on Saturday. He could have been able to host the racing.

Or Bruce? Or Richo?

As Sully posted above, Richo has been hosting overnight racing from Royal Ascot this week.

Good- he should stay overnight too

Seven must be deliberately running the Saturday horse racing as a blocky mess in SD. Can’t see why it can’t air on 7mate so it is in high definition - no conflicts in the TV guide.

Can anyone stop master trainer Chris Waller on Seven’s Winter Racing?

Saturday LIVE & FREE – 11.30am AEST on 7, 7TWO and 7plus

Leading trainer Chris Waller will have his eyes firmly on the two feature prizes at Civic Stakes Day at Rosehill Gardens this Saturday, when fans can also enjoy all the LIVE and FREE action from a nine-race card at Caulfield.

Waller has five runners entered in both the Civic Stakes (1350m) and the W.J. McKell Cup (2000m), giving him a very strong hand in both of Saturday’s Listed features at Rosehill.

In the W.J. McKell Cup, Waller has two of the top fancies in Wu Gok , who is targeting his third win in a row, and Carzoff . However, they’ll face stiff opposition from the Kris Lees stable, which is also fielding five runners, headed by Attention Run and Sixties Groove, while the sole Victorian-based runner Sully also shapes as a big threat.

Godolphin’s Home of The Brave looms as Waller’s biggest obstacle in the Civic Stakes, but in what shapes as a very even race Dealmaker and Toryjoy appear the master trainer’s leading contenders.

Seven’s broadcast this Saturday will be led by Nigel Carmody , Henry Dwyer and Corey Brown .

At Caulfield, Winter Race Day will see promising Henry Dwyer-trained filly Ms Catherine bid to bounce back from her first defeat (race six, three-year-old handicap, 1000m), Alfa Oro seek four wins in a row (race seven, 1100m) while Harbour Views continues his tilt at a 2020 Cox Plate run (race eight, 2000m).

I can’t see it mentioned online but anyway those on V8Central have claimed that Seven will be showing Supercar Championship from next year with of course 10 having the Albert Park 400.

7 will have Sundays and full premium races by the look of it. Would be better than 10’s 5 races a year in the current deal

Boy I hope they are wrong, and why would 7 want Supercars as they don’t rate outside major events.

I would not read into that forum post until I hear/see an official announcement from Supercars or Seven regarding the next round of broadcasting rights to Supercars.

But I’d like to think that Seven would broadcast the major events with expanded coverage, such as the Adelaide 500, Bathurst 1000, Gold Coast 600 and Newcastle 500.

I’d expect 7 to do full coverage of the above events and Sunday-only for the rest

Is Auto Action considered a reliable source of information, as those on V8 Central forum are now saying from that particular site. That at least one race live per weekend in additional to marquee races being live. Which is what was suppose to happen for 10 this year but Foxtel knocked them back.

Not really

I laugh at this quote within the article;

“We need a new TV deal where we’re on a free-to-air network that gives a shit, which is pretty close to happening,” an embittered team boss said.

Let us all remember that when it went to Foxtel, the teams were saying they wanted off free to air cause Foxtel pays more. Well look what happens when the chicken comes home…

so basically 10 will have Supercar for Albert Park 400, will that now become a non-championship round.

It’s a better outcome for all with Seven showing Sunday’s and full coverage for the marquee events including Bathurst.
