Seven kicks off its biggest NFL season yet

More NFL games, plus Super Bowl LX and NFL Tailgate live and free on Seven and 7plus Sport

The NFL roars back into action on the Seven Network tomorrow, Friday, 5 September, with an epic season opener featuring the Dallas Cowboys and reigning champions, the Philadelphia Eagles, live and free on 7mate and 7plus Sport.

As Seven marks its 12th season as the official free-to-air partner of the NFL in Australia, viewers can catch every moment of the season opener live from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, from 10.00am AEST, as it kickstarts Seven’s biggest NFL season yet, live and free on 7mate and 7plus Sport.

In exciting news for sport fans, Seven’s weekly NFL show is back with a new name and even more energy as it relaunches as NFL Tailgate.

The ultimate warm-up for Friday morning football, NFL Tailgate will see the first Australian to play in a Super Bowl, Ben Graham, team with resident NFL expert Cam Luke to break down all the latest news, highlights and talking points from across the league.

Kicking off at 9.00am on 7mate and 7plus Sport, the show leads straight into the unmissable Friday morning NFL clash live at 10.00am AEST, every week of the season.

NFL Tailgate host, Ben Graham: “This season is going to be massive. I’m expecting the closest season in decades. Can the Eagles go back-to-back?

“Has the Chiefs’ dynasty ended? Will the 49ers bounce back? Will Micah Parsons be the difference in Green Bay? So many questions but all will be revealed over the coming months on the road to Super Bowl 60 in San Francisco,” he said.

“For Australian NFL fans, we can’t wait for a real NFL game at the MCG in Melbourne in September 2026 but this season, keep an eye on the best punter in the NFL, Michael Dickson of the Seahawks and of course, Super Bowl winning Offensive Line at the Eagles, Jordan Mailata. Strap yourselves NFL fans, this season is going to be wild.”

Seven’s 2024 NFL season coverage reached 4.7 million Australians, up 6% on the 2023 season. Philadelphia Eagles’ resounding Super Bowl LIX win over the Kansas City Chiefs in February this year reached more than 2.6 million Australians on Seven and 7plus Sport, and had a national total TV audience of 892,000, up 11% on Super Bowl LVIII.

Australian players to watch this season include Jordan Mailata (Philadelphia Eagles), Luke Felix-Fualalo (Philadelphia Eagles), Laki Tasi (Las Vegas Raiders), Jeremy Crawshaw (Denver Broncos), Patrick Murtagh (Denver Broncos), Thomas Yassmin (Los Angeles Chargers), Michael Dickson (Seattle Seahawks), Tory Taylor (Chicago Bears) and Daniel Faalele (Baltimore Ravens).

Now we don’t have to wonder what the Ashes promo is like anymore.

It is tucked neatly in there. “Every run, every ball, every wicket.”

Cut it out and you have a 30-second version to run close to the event.

On another note, do we not do the “slash” anymore (7/7+)?

That’s a good promo.
