There was a banner ad in the sports section of today’s News Corp papers.
Just saw a promo after the Noon News for ‘Seven’s biggest weekend of sport’ ahead of Idol launch.

edit
Whoops! Didn’t see @TV.Cynic had already covered it above, my apologies
It was announced last week that Hockey Australia had renewed the broadcast deal with Seven until the end of 2027. It includes the 2026 World Cup in the Netherlands and Belgium and the Los Angeles Olympic Games Qualifiers in 2027.

Now this is a sport that Seven should be plugging to death!
Is that Shane Crawford?
James Tobin - Weekend Sunrise weather presenter.
God 7Two in metro looks horrible. Watching Bathurst, Horses & WAshes will be fun.
Any word if 7Flix is getting the flick to HD?
That split-screen live-cross looks like Seven’s graphics template for their Olympics, Winter Olympics, Comm Games and Australian Open from 2018 - 2021.
I couldn’t agree more. It is like watching a DVD on a FHD or 4K TV!
Incredible atmosphere here at the starting and finish line on Geelong waterfront! I have been walking around looking at the OB trucks - looks like the commentators are locked away in a mobile portable
A few trucks - World Feed, Unlateral Feed (Ch7) and some satellite vehicles
It is too. I need my eyes checked,
Also AFL between 2012-20 (and Supercars between 2013-14). Some of the supers and transitions are from that era as well, though Supercars in 2012 retained the old 2007-11 graphics before switching in 2013.
What I liked about Seven’s (former) AO coverage was they used their own graphics, whereas Nine now uses the TA graphics except with supers to show their local commentators.
Seven Sport at 2pm just did a whip-around with the hosts of all their coverages today doing their own plugs, they looked pre-recorded.
Women’s Ashes now on 7.
Bathurst 12 Hour continues on 7mate.
Horse racing continues on 7Two (HD on 7Plus).
Cadel Evans Great Ocean Rd Race now only on 7Plus.
All edt.
At 3:30pm, Bathurst moves to 7flix in a rare situation.
As men’s Sri Lanka test goes to main channel.
With women’s Ashes on 7mate in HD.
Horse racing stays on 7Two.
updated 3pm
Changes have happened 30min earlier than scheduled, most likely due to the Sri Lanka test beginning earlier again to catch-up on lost play following the suspensions due to rain. Bad weather forecast again later today too.
I’d imagine each telecast would’ve advised of the channel changes, Bathurst’s particularly unfortunate (though 7flix is in HD on 7Plus).
I think that’s because Seven produced the whole coverage including the world feed.
One of the reasons Nine liked this deal was so they weren’t having to spend more money on production, I know where you’re coming from, but why wouldn’t they use a feed that’s already mostly prepared for them.
Nine still do their own too, be it packages, highlights, replays, live-crosses, studios and during matches as you mentioned putting their own commentators, graphics and stats on, as well as going to shots from around the grounds or other courts.
I think since 2019 it’s more a collaborative relationship between Nine and TA, they’re kind of joined at the hip.
