I think it’s only once a day on Seven, maybe around 6:15PM?
Just on WIN Ten? Or also on the sister stations (I realise this is the SCA thread!)
He said on Seven. So there are WIN News Breaks on both WIN and Seven in that market. I think they did this before the bulletin was axed, too.
SES/RTS have a WIN News 2 minute noodle update once a weekday, usually 5:55pm on WIN (before Ten News weather) and on Seven and Nine usually before Sport in each respective news program
Remembering that WIN are not required to deliver any local news in Eastern SA markets.
I think the TV articles are a mess. I haven’t contributed much but I’ve created pages. It’s just hard to get my head around how it should be categorised and presented. ‘QQQ’ pisses me off because the title is just so unknown to the average reader and plenty of other ‘stations’ aren’t titled like that. Plus, the banning of channel lists is ridiculous so it’s hard to just lay out the whole television landscape in a logical kind of way.
Thanks - didn’t see the “on Seven” comment previously (possibly a re-edit as I was posting).
Other than ads and the newsbreak, I assume Seven and Nine SA are identical to the Adelaide stations?
One thing about a solus market is that the channels are not rivals as they are owned by the same company. Is there ever any cross-promotion between the channels?
Speaking based on my experience with WIN, probably the same with Southern Cross.
Yes they’re dirty feeds
Yes. WIN often has WIN Network advertising across all main and sub channels. Occasionally you’ll have oddities like the ‘Channel 9 Young Achiever Award’, sponsored by the WIN Network, airing on 7MATE
Or 7:30 slip onto WIN
Yeah no, not like that!
Because the Channel 9 award is sponsored by WIN Network, it’s no accident when it airs on any of the channels WIN carries.
I’d imagine it is the same for Southern Cross. I see their classifieds have all the logos for the channels they broadcast at the bottom of the screen
I think all their EIT channel names start with SC, too. SC GTS/BKN, SC Nine, SC Ten, etc.
I wonder what the PRG and associated network bugs (“CC”, classification warning, etc) will look like? Also what about the EPG?
I took some caps of SCTV’s PRGs late last year (they’ll be here somewhere) when I was in rural Victoria (via VAST satellite).
Also commented on how I like SCTV’s EPG, listing programs in more detail (e.g.) a film includes “Movie:” and the year “( - - - -)” as well.
I’m wondering if the fluffy red heart cushions have made their way down to Tassie for production of some “LOVE 7 TAS” promos to kick off the new branding.
It does make sense because they are about individual stations, not the network combination as it is an encyclopaedia of each station.
Since an article for GDS/BDN would be a severe stub article (i.e. very little content), it’s easier to keep it as part of the GTS/BKN article. Not to mention that GDS/BDN has its origins as a digital supplement to the original channel, as opposed to a separate channel altogether like SGS/SCN.
I guess this is kind of similar to American TV stations outside of the main cities, where one station (KOLN; CBS affiliate) will have subchannels affiliated with different networks (10.2 NBC; 10.3 MyNet). In our case, GTS/BKN is the main station, SGS/SCN is the twin station, while GDS/BDN is the direct “child” of GTS/BKN.
I refer to these, surely they’ll change, though not sure if this presentation is the same in Tasmania?

Seems as though they had the Channel 7 On The tv show promos. I think it is quite strange why SCTV has taken 7 branding when promoting the show
We’ll see about that.
Is anybody able to tweet them asking if the Nine and Ten stations in Spencer Gulf/Broken Hill will be changing to the correct channel numbers? Near two years after the regional affiliation swap, Nine is still on 8 and Ten is still on 5. All other stations, even the joint ventures part owned by Southern Cross have changed.
I don’t think it will ever change.
