So will 7TWO and 7Flix get new logos?
One would think theyâll be refreshed. I think itâs certain that 7flix will given we were teased how itâs being refocussed.
They did say there were plans to rebrand 7Flix when they announced the closure of 7food Network.
Oh sweet, looks like one of the earlier branding concepts for 7Plus was revisited:
Now thatâs a good looking rebrand. Hot damn.
The 7plus app logo hasnât changed. Did have to login again though.
I prefer the new 7+ watermark, I was never a fan of having Plus after the 7 logo so I hope itâs a permanent change.
I liked it a lot when I first came across it a while back while browsing the contributorâs portfolio, reminds me of the old i7 with the multi-colour gradient and angled style:
I have a feeling though given this is a rebrand for 7Plus at the time of Sevenâs other services with the consistent look and fonts (somewhat), the appearance will be different since it was created during the previous arrow style Presentation.
Edit: Just noticed the slant on the right-side of the + has been removed compared to the original concept, so the style is likely to be different.
it changed on some streaming videos , not all
Would be cool if the four parts of the cross were the colours of the 4 channels⌠red, orange, blue and pink.
Even with the effort of a new presentation package (and reportedly an expensive one) Seven still canât be bothered making actual 10sec or 20sec promos sometimes now⌠more of those ânext upâ 5sec things
Main channel:
Although unusually they did bother making a 7mate one too with the 7mate V/O:
Strange it seems to have disappeared. I had a look last week and searching â7News Central Queenslandâ brought up all the bulletinsâŚ
I just tried that⌠nothing. I live in Townsville, but nothing comes up when I search for the local bulletin here either.
Only bulletin that comes up is 7 News Brisbane.
Everything else Iâve tried comes up with: âWe couldnât find any resultsâ
Not sure, there was a cap with Rob that had a super - 7plus for replay.
Had a look on the Australian website for the article and couldnât find it. Is there a link avaliable?
Itâs a bit more complex. Normally when a network does not run promos for a certain show (in this case movie) itâs a strategy. Theyve determined that promo time wonât result in much of a dent in ratings. So itâs a strategy to use the promo time for shows where they can move the dial. Itâs particularly known that movies canât be influenced much by promos As they are a known factor. - people decide on a movie based in the tv listing. You can run 100 promos a week for pirates of the carribean - or zero promos x and the effect in ratings outcome is negligible
Iâve literally just seen a promo with Rob Brough air on Seven saying to search âNewsâ on 7Play. Wondering if theyâve disappeared temporarily while they fix/adjust something?
100% Indeed, itâs not a case of ânot being botheredâ itâs balancing act of justifying using time and budget on a Promo Producer for creating a promo for something that isnât much of a priority, and can easily be done via a channel lineup menu. Iâve been in meetings where debates can get heated over what show should get a promo. And if that promo doesnât convert viewers it can be a waste of money/air time.
Not everything needs a promo, which is why a channel on-screen presentation package exists.
Reality over vanity.
