Seven On-Air Presentation

Well hopefully this colour green:

Then they can just adjust the blue on Mate and finally launch Seven Yellow.

Actually, if they really wanted to go full circle, make 7Two yellow, and then use orange for Seven HD.

Unless 7six is 7chick and they go with pink.

I think they should have a 24 hour time channel on channel 70 with nothing but an image of a wall clock and call the channel ā€œ7 Oā€™clockā€. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

^ It would probably beat Ten in the ratings. :stuck_out_tongue:

I saw the new signpost tonight. First thing: donā€™t show it in the middle of the show, do it right after returning from the ad break!
It goes like
now > My Kitchen Rules

flips to

next > The Holiday

then

next > The Holiday (AND) next > A Touch of Frost 7TWO

then

next > The Holiday (AND) next > Family Guy 7mate

Noticed some promotion for Family Guy on 7mate during MKR tonight, looks good:

The Blue Heelers ā€˜technical meltdownā€™ just occured to me the other day when I was watching an ep, when the Seven Network went offline in April 2005, following a major power surge at Docklands.

Apparently the ā€˜last case scenarioā€™ back-up then, was a manual site at Epping, Sydney (ATNā€™s old studios, of which are now the secondary studios at Eveleigh since 2009).

Apparently on the night, someone had to go from Martin Place to Epping and manually switch each market back on (after a staff member in Melbourne phoned and said what happaned). I read that from a website.

So is this the room (attached picture) where that would now be done (national broadcast centre back-up), I take it was probably installed in 2009, when Epping studios/site was shut-down?

As seen on a Sunrise tour in 2009 with Beretts.

Apparently the wall starts-up automatically, if Sevenā€™s national broadcast centre in Melbourne, goes offline again.

Fingers crossed it never happens during the Melbourne Cup, AFL Grand Final or MKR, etc.
Just imagine!

This is new

theyā€™ve had it for a while and typically use it to advertise shows coming up on their multichannels.

The Olympic rings return tonight, under the 7 logo, during My Kitchen Rules. I think it is a one-off because the episode involves teams cooking for 200 members of the Australian Olympic Team.

Awesome. Very similar in style to the old Australiaā€™s Olympic Network promos of the 90s.

It appears that Seven have stopped using the Olympic rings under the watermark here in Perth.

How did that promo get approved? Some very dodgy editing going on there.

Compared to the fantastic promos that Seven ran in the lead up to the 2000 or even the 2008 Olympics, that ā€œWeā€™re cheering for Australia! And another countryā€ promo is pretty weak IMO.

Cause nothing says ā€œour own Olympic team sucksā€ as cheering for another countries teamā€¦itā€™s kind of like saying Iā€™m gonna go for whoever wins.

I thought the promo was suggesting that because Brazilā€™s colours are also green and gold, that the Aussies could benefit from the home crowd accidentally cheering us on?

Not really, Iā€™m sure many people who have come from different countries or are dual-citizens would support both Australia and their ā€˜homeā€™/original country
