Rob Elliott’s departure as host was the beginning of the end of Wheel of Fortune.
When Rob Elliot left and Steve Oemcke came in as host of WOF, the ratings dipped. What were the ratings like for Wheel of Fortune with Oemcke as host compared to Larry Emdur’s The Price Is Right Show?
What i do know is that after WOF finished up in 2006, a bunch of Steve Oemcke’s episodes from 2005 were aired.
Not a huge fan of this package, prefer the more colourful early 2003 look.
I will however say that this package has aged quite well considering it is approching 17 years old.

…which of course, was/is a character played by Mary Coustas.
Although this airing might not have been in “actual” HD, because it’s to my understanding that Seven only ran LCN 70 in 576p back then!
I believe that when they would do repeats of Billy Connolly’s WTOA, they’d be edited down.

I’m pretty sure that was just another typical report from Today Tonight!
I’m an idiot, of course it is. It looked like an official end-tag at first, don’t you reckon?
It’s a promo from Today Tonight!
I think I do remember that report!
Sadly, these type of stories continue to appear on Seven News Sydney, today. If only Jason Morrison could cut these stories out of the present bulletin, they’d at least be competitive against Nine News.
Something something Nine News Brisbane
No way! Eternity ago. TT with Naomi Robson fan I take it?
