Wasn’t this right around the time they made the switch to the “ribbon” logo so there likely would have been old remenants of the old logo on production gear and such.

Yep. This was from Australia Day 2000 which was 25 days after the switch to the ribbon logo. The split 7 logo would be seen on production vans and trucks

Would love to see any The Mole promos from 2002; that was my favourite season of them as it included the Weakest Link crossover special; also, there were no contestants from Queensland that season because it was set mostly in the state.
