May be a possibility that Shepparton would get the Albury/Border bulletin.
Doubtful. Would be same as how WIN Griffith gets combined WIN Wagga Wagga/Orange News now, of no real local relevance.
that in itself is crazy, why wouldn’t WIN who owns all signals in Griffith return at least a VJ to Griffith, there is enough news out that way. WIN needs to come clean and admit they don’t care about their news at the moment. Its just ticking a box.
Because they operate a larger network, there will be markets that, if a profit is generated, subsidise other markets.
The days of the 20 bulletins and growth are well and truly over. The revenue is no longer there in FTA and they’re also paying around half in affiliation revenues so that is a consequence.
Kirstie presenting the updates tonight
I’m guessing ATN/HSV bulletins still rate highly in these markets? ATN news at 6pm was no. 1 in Canberra for many years. Would be almost impossible to justify jeopardising that with a replacement local bulletin.
No more office backdrop?
Wow, was not expecting that. Looks like a big screen?
Not sure how I feel about that. Perhaps it’s just the cap but it feels very washed out.
The Prime-designed OTS won’t look very good over the top of that backdrop with its awkward angles
That backdrop is an absolute shocker. Horrifically washed out.
Still better than Seven Perth.
That one’s one thing; regional NSW and VIC doesn’t have this in the first place (probably because Canberra presenting staff is limited whenever Maddie, Kirstie or Daniel is unavailable).
Yeah you’d think they’d at least match the angles up.
Also the 7NEWS logo reflects off the desk when the OTS covers the logo on the screen. Awkard.
It doesn’t look very clear.
Still a positive change (getting rid of the newsroom background), now they just need to fix the lighting to get rid of the washed out look.
