10 points for trying - but the red set and the whole graphics package (except weather) are terrible.
The red set could be a more subtle blue even.
A variation of Seven’s graphics package would be perfect.
Agree - it’s pretty shocking. It’s a shame as the anchors, and quality of the bulletins is really good - let down by a terrible set and GFX package.
Why could they not just get 7’s internal GFX department to build their openers and package, like the 7 QLD stations

Selected promos have PRIME7 and others just use the 7 ones, guess it depends how lazy they feel.

nice sledging of the staff in Prime’s promos department there.
It’d be like with SC10, if they don’t get the promos from 7 in time, they’d have to put them to air as is, without having the time to localize it.
Some would disagree but I honestly think they should ditch the prime/ gwn name from the broadcast in favour of just having 7NEWS (location) it just makes it link in with the news brand better.

The reason (or at least main one) for Prime rebranding to Prime7 was to cut the promo costs; since then they don’t routinely re-voice the 7 promos nor replace the 7 logo with a Prime one.
Occasionally they’ll do so (replacing the 7 logo or adding a PRIME7 logo & perhaps revoicing) for a promo which can get a longer run/be aired many times (coming soon, new year general promo, etc.) but apart from those rare ones we just see the original 7-branded promos.
However, the watermark on the main channel says PRIME7 rather than just 7; except during 7News (when & where shown on Prime7, e.g. 7News Sydney airs in Canberra), and most/live 7 Sport coverage (where Prime7 put the 7 logo on to fit into the space 7 are leaving next to the "LIVE & FREE | " thing, presumably because the PRIME7 logo would have to be tiny to fit in the space).
Much as I think it’d simplify things for Prime7 to fully rebrand to just 7 I doubt that’ll happen/any time soon, so the news bulletins they produce will still have the Prime7 name/logo, plus (ignoring their news efforts) overall Prime7’s co-branding is working well.
(But yes I agree 7News Location would work & fit into their current cobranding.)

According to their Twitter page, Prime7 dominates the local news ratings in the Central West & Riverina, attracting more than half of its 6pm audience, way ahead of WIN & Nine (their Riverina bulletin launches on Monday).

Whilst there are costs In re-versioning and tagging promos, I strongly suspect the reason was more to do to ad-sales, and the perceived and real strength of the 7 brand to national Advertisers - and the increased value in selling advertising on a 7 branded network of stations. Prime7 took on the 7 brand right at the height of Seven’s popularity

Don’t see how it’s sledging, but anyway, the more educated reply from someone else is probably the real reason why, being they don’t have the time to modify the promo’s that are only a short run, or for shows only on in 6 days time is probably not worth their time, and that makes sense seeing as the promos running for shows returning after the tennis are shown for two months or so in advance which are usually PRIME7 branded.
It would be nice if they had designed their logo to more easily fit around the positioning of the 7 logo so they could just add it on top or next to it on the promos easily.
Something stackable like the 7TWO or 7mate logos used when sport is shown on those channels?
Those two words are shorter than Prime so even if Prime7 created a stacked version of their logo, I think it’d be too small/unclear on SD, especially on smaller TVs.
Initially I thought perhaps Prime7 was a transitional brand and they’d just go to pure 7 branding but obviously I was wrong about that. Apart from the regular PRIME7 watermark being huge (because it is so wide; wider than the 9HD watermark which - like the 11 watermark - I think is too big), the cobranding generally works well.
