I can’t believe how good that set looks

Am I wrong in saying that it’s currently the oldest set in Australia?

Not wrong. It is the oldest.

Wonder how the dimensions of that rear wall compare to the dimensions of some of the soon to be defunct large video walls down at Martin Place.

How old is it it?

Maybe the first version of it was 2005ish?

I reckon it woulda been earlier than that. I have seen videos with the old red intro being used on that set, and that was pre-2004.

What do you mean? The only new things are the vertical slats and the screen.

Livio Regano was the Weather Presenter on the Special Olympic Games Edition of 7News on Thursday the 19th of August 2004 with Rob Brough and Joanne Desmond with the News with Chris Pace on Sport.

But near the End of Livio Regano’s Weather Report, it shows a Statewide Forecast for Regional Queensland stretching from Cairns in the North Tropical Coast & Tablelands Region to Tewantin on the Sunshine Coast Region. But it doesn’t feature the Temperatures for Today, the Satellite and Synoptic Charts, as well the Forecasts for the North Tropical Coast & Tablelands and the Herbert & Lower Burdekin, Central Coast & Whitsunday’s and Capricornia & the Wide-Bay Burnett and the Southeast Coast District including the National Forecast across Australia Nicholas.

oh I mean in terms of they’ve painted everything, replaced the bit on the right etc. Bones of it are obviously the same.

If you go for pure aesthetic then Southern Cross News Tasmania took the cake for the longest set which remained untouched, but they obviously upgraded in 2018.

Haven’t had a chance to watch the local news for a while, but I am currently in Emerald for the week. Emily Steinhardt is filling in for Jo tonight. Vaguely recall her being state editor for WIN at one stage.

The CQ bulletin has changed their skyline loop at some point. Used to be Rockhampton, looks to be Gladstone now.

Also spotted this during a report tonight…counsillor
