Seven News (Regional Qld)

Not going to work.

Still, you’d have to think ditching dual anchors and sport presenters in a half hour bulletin would be a cost saving Seven would have to be looking at in their current financial situation.

Well Steve Titmus has been filling in for Rob just as Katie Toney was filling in for Jo Desmond for a couple of weeks before that so the double headers aren’t going anywhere for the time being.

I’d say that presenters have been asked to get their annual leave down just like all other staff at the network, hence why everyone seems to be taking leave at the moment.

How many frames did you trawl through to find my new avatar, Cynic?

Nice to be appreciated. But it wasn’t that hard! Just 5. Eagerly awaiting his wink at the end of tonight’s bulletin.

A solid choice from the options you had.

It’s been a long winkless two weeks. One per bulletin doesn’t really cut it at the moment

Caption this: “Great to be with you folks” winks “Now Joanne don’t take the spotlight from me” turns to camera “I am the best.”

Rob, Jo and Livio have been featuring in tourism ads for Queensland in recent weeks. So, it seems the presenters were given staggered time off to travel and film them (also not a bad assignment to take leave on the back of it).

Are these the “Love You Queensland” ones? If so, they didn’t actually travel anywhere they just did their pieces to camera on the Sunny Coast and it’s been spliced in with TQ footage and photos of their own. I don’t think it’s why they’ve all had time off recently.
