Seven News (Regional Qld)

Man, that ~30 second closer :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Probably lands fairly low on the @NewsKing closer ranking system, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Yes, a mistake with the wrong closer dragged and dropped into the Toowoomba bulletin. Mind you, there were a few staff short out the back on Friday, given what was happening on the Sunny Coast. :wink:

Just to quote CJ from a popular game: “Aw, sh**. Here we go again.” :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: How many staff in the editing room were present today?

If you could identify the fault in tonight’s Seven regional news bulletins in QLD, perhaps the graphics designer might’ve been drunk placing which link goes where. :grin:
(Not sure about the Sunshine Coast version, which usually runs live but wasn’t included in @ScreenTower’s set of uploads tonight through its alternate Youtube page.)

Rob whipped out a measuring tape during nathan’s sports report on the sunny coast bulletin last night after an earlier joke about the new 2m social distancing rules :rofl:

With Seven News Brisbane just showing News related to the South East at the moment, I feel like 7Qld should do their own National/International bulletin at 6.30 like Prime does. It would save them having to butcher the Brisbane bulletin and also means they can pick stories relevant to regional viewers and show it live so they can incorporate any breaking news. Keep Rob Brough/Jo Desmond on Local news and put Steve Titmus and/or Katie Toney on a new 6.30 bulletin.

Nah. Let the current structure be. They can still do those SEQ-centric stories in the national bulletin and rate higher than WIN and Nine Regional. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

It might rate higher but I don’t know anyone in regional Qld that’s interested in SEQ local politics, car crashes, house fires etc. they could do a better tailored bulletin without having to edit the Brisbane bulletin.

@petepete83

7 wins the 630 slot across Queensland with the product they have. With the ass falling out of TV and in particular 7 and all the problems they have. Launching a new 630 news for Queensland when they are already #1 at 630
Is literally the last thing 7 would throw money at now

I’m sure most would agree there are better ways of providing regional Queensland viewers with state, national and international news along with the local stuff.

But at the same time, we all know why Seven Queensland do what they do: Because it’s cheap and it rates.

And also if you don’t innovate and continue doing the same thing you end up like WIN…
