And Karl had to threaten to walk for her to be signed on that said one year deal. She only just scraped in with a contract.
So Seven Melbourne could be a good deal for her. Good for 7 too to keep the rotating door of presenters at Today spinning.

It’s Perth. A layer of bricks would double Nine’s audience at 6 if it was the presenter.
But I agree. Mitch’s shouting and intonation is super annoying. Mike and Bec on weeknights would’ve been invincible but Mike and Karina aren’t bad.

Home and Away is still doing extremely well at 7pm.
If they must bring TT back I’d prefer 30 minutes news again and TT at 6:30pm.

True. I just can’t see Seven getting Sarah in for localised news. Seven would want her on a national based scale.

There is no way. From the heights of The Today Show? This has to be April 1 come early. And Alex Cullen is no Sarah Abo. And as for Rebecca Maddern and what she had at Nine, she chose to walk and I believe now at Seven is on a ridiculous salary for what she’s doing.

Sarah may not have a choice. Reports are it was a close call this year, and to have signed just one year is not a great deal of confidence shown from either side.
Heights of the Today Show??? It’s been a loser for 2 decades. You should do a master reset of your nine-bias every now and then, it’s predictable, boring and blatantly partial. Not throwing shade at your motivations ( I guess we’re all tv nerds) but it comes across as juvenile.

Meaning the brand. It is a major national show and one of Nine’s biggest, including their talent and salaries.
Sunrise has always done well regionally and in Adelaide & Perth.
Today still does very well on the east coast and often beats Sunrise, much to Seven’s quiet frustration I’m sure. TV.Cynic only notes it almost every day.
