No doubt she’ll do some fill-in presenting down the track, such as reading the news on Weekend Sunrise or filling in on the Morning News during summer for instance.
Similar to how Laurel Irving returned from the UK and fills in on Melbourne’s 4pm bulletin, and how Mike Amor and Angela Cox now have permanent presenting roles after returning from the U.S.

During Morning News the always classy Ann Sanders did a live cross to Amelia Brace in the Sydney newsroom she said “Live to Amelia Brace in Sydney welcome home Amelia…”
Obviously it was the first time Ann has crossed to Amelia since her return from the US.

It’ll be interesting to see if Tim Lester stays at the US bureau for an extended period of time or if he’ll eventually return to one of the local newsrooms. With relatively few experienced reporters compared to Nine in the same market, Seven News Sydney probably could use Lester’s services at some point in the future!

With Amelia Mulcahy presenting weather on the Morning News this morning, I reckon David Brown has most likely gone back to a Sunday to Thursday roster (he was Sunday to Friday for a few weeks).

Jacqui must be taking a few well deserved days off after filling in for Tim Watson last week on 6pm sport and then Mike Amor this week on the 4pm news.
Fair chance then that Sean Sowerby will present sport in Melbourne tonight.
If Mike’s not back, then Blake Johnson will most likely read tonight’s news.
