Seven News Presenters and Reporters (2020-Feb 2025)

You mean THE SCREAMING, she’s the next Jim Wilson.

He shouldn’t be involved with a news service, as a sitting politician.

:joy:

I can imagine Jim doing sport on a 3am bulletin “…GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!”

Jokes aside, I still really miss Jim at Seven. Matt Shirvington’s good, but he isn’t at Jim’s level.

I thought the same too - but I guess he’s just reading sports news off an autocue, so no talkback or opinions are required.

But I reckon give it a few months until he resigns from Seven because of the heavy workload from taking on Lord Mayor.

Barra will probably do sports on nights when the Perth Council meets

Hope so.

Something about Ryan Daniels on-air I don’t quite like.

Nothing personal about him, but I just find him to be a bit smug on-air, and I personally prefer Adrian Barich over him given how long Barra’s been with 7NEWS for.

Just my opinion.

I don’t. Each to their own opinion I guess.

Ben Davis presenting Morning News sport from the Brisbane studios today.

All is fine with presenting from Brisbane studios I guess, now that HD capability is there.

Friday 23rd October -

Mike Amor is presenting the Morning News this morning, even though Sally Bowrey presented the news updates on The Morning Show.

Blake Johnson is presenting sport and Mike Amor also read out the weather forecast

EDIT - I’d say this is because Martin Place are preparing for the Presidential Debate which Michael Usher is hosting from 12pm, hence the set is unavailable currently.

During the start of the bulletin, the opener was ‘Seven’s Morning News with Mike Amor.’

It usually is ‘Seven News with Mike Amor.’

Strange choice when his background is in news, although I recall him presenting sport one evening in Melbourne last year when Tim Watson was away, must’ve been last minute.

I think he’s just jumped in at the last minute.

Either way, its good national exposure for Blake.

Chances are weather will also come from Melbourne too with Melina Sarris, otherwise it could be Amelia Mulcahy in Adelaide.

It would also be good if they could get Jane Bunn in to do Morning News weather this morning to give her some national exposure, although it is her day off.

Will have to wait and see.

Mike Amor also read 7’s morning news weather.

Couldn’t Andrew McCormack have presented? Would’ve been good national exposure for him.
